Stop At: Chaithararam Temple (Wat Chalong), Chalong, Phuket Town, Phuket
Wat Chalong ( Chalong Temple ) is the largest of Phuket's temples, and the most visited. Locals and many Thai tourists come to pray and pay respects to several revered monks who were the founders of Wat Chalong, among them Luang Pho Cham and Luang Pho Chuang, 2 monks, who led the citizens of Chalong Sub district fighting against the Chinese rebellion in 1876 and with their knowledge of herbal medicine helped the injured.
The most recent building on the grounds of Wat Chalong is a 60 meters tall 'Chedi' sheltering a splinter of bone from Buddha. Walls and ceilings are decorated with beautiful painting illustrating the life of Buddha, as well as many donated golden statues. Wat Chalong Chedi is built on three floors so feel free to climb all the way to the top floor terrace to get a nice bird view on the entire temple grounds.

The trip was from 12.50 to 18.15 hrs.
The distances are not very long, but the route îs crowdy.
The guide has offered info before entering in the obiectives.
A garden included in the sold program was not meet, looking bad due of the lack of rains, the guide has explained.
I wanted to see the Big Buddha and the city tour was cheaper than taking a taxi and I was able to see more of the city. The driver even dropped us off at a mall instead of just taking us back to our hotel. The tour guide was friendly and informative.
Have a plan before going on this tour.
This tour was amazing!
Even that the hours were convenient for my traveling plans the experience was not unique because it was not a private tour and our tour guide was very shy and not informative.
This tour was okay. It was a great way to kill half of a day. Pros: The cashew factory, where you can get some delicious Thai Cashew products that aren't terribly expensive. You also have a chance to get some great photo opps at Chalong Temple and Rang Hill. Cons: Our tour guide left us in the middle of our tour, he said he had a family emergency. So for the second half of the tour, we were left on our own with the driver, who spoke no English, to just explore the remaining portions of the tour on our own. Also, some of the places that we went to, like the Pearl Factory and the Bee Factory where very sales pitchy. Beware of the pearl factory in particular and I would recommend not purchasing anything from there as the pearls are ridiculously marked up in price, and unless you ask, you could be paying for what you think is diamond and gold, but actually is CZ, and gold plating over sterling silver. I was most excited about this part of the tour, but once I started asking questions, I quickly realized that it wasn't worth me spending any money for the pearl jewelry offered at this location. Other then that, it's a decent way to kill time and become a bit more acquainted with Phuket.
Best tour guide EVER. full of local knowledge, so very lovely and friendly
A decent tour with a very good guide.
Great tour! - I highly recommend this fun spending day. You end up buying things you really need instead of rubbish. Value for money tour. Bring as much money with you because the pearl rings start at only $125. Aud. The cheapest way to see the City.
The tour guide was nice but somewhat limited in his knowledge about the sites we visited as part of the tour
