Jerry was a great tour guide. He took me to see the key parts of the Summer Palace and shared a lot of information about the history of the palace during the Ming and Qing dynasties. He also gave me good recommendations of other things to see in Beijing during my trip.

My partner and I had a delightful morning walking around the summer palace with our guide Jason. Jason was a helpful and friendly guide; he piloted us through the crowds to the best spots and gave us a lot of fascinating information about the history of the Summer Palace. Great tour! Jeffrey was waiting on me early at the hotel lobby. Easy taxi ride all the way to the Summer Palace and a convenient drop off of my choosing afterwards as I hadn’t planned to go straight back home. The Summer Palace is a must see if you are in Beijing. Jeffrey was very knowledgeable and is able to speak great English. The private tour was great because the crowds here can be huge and perhaps difficult to stay together in a big group. Definitely a place you would enjoy going back to again and again for it’s beauty and festive atmosphere.

My partner and I really wanted to see the Summer Palace in Beijing so we organised this half day tour not knowing if half day would be enough. Our guide Lisa met us in the lobby of our hotel and we travelled to the Summer Palace. Lisa walked us through the Summer Palace and explained it's history and the significant figures in the Chinese Royal Family who had occupied it's walls and what its purpose was. The Summer Palace was fantastic and Lisa was friendly and informative which made our experience there memorable. Thanks Lisa for a great time at the Summer Palace.

On my recent trip to Beijing we had booked the Half Day Private Tour at Summer Palace.on Nov.11 2019 At the appointed time ,8.30am,a v.pleasant lady ,LISA,met us at the hotel lobby and with a sunny smile n warm welcome,escorted us to the carn driver.On our way to the palace,Lisa introduced us to the history of the palace n the intriguing stories of the Dragon Lady who ruled over Beijing n who was responsible for building this beautiful complex. On our arrival,Lisa expertly explained the importance n significance of each thing that we came accross,be it a pavillion,a courtyard,or rare sculptures n rocks in the gardens.Each one had an interesting story to it which truly enhansed our pleasure in viewing this beautiful complex,which is 2/3 water(lake)n 1/3land. We expressed our desire to see the South Islsnd so Lisa took us by boat wer we saw a beautful marble bridge,with heads of lions as its balustrades ,each one diff.from the other. It was a beautiful day to visit this lovely site,but if it was not for Lisa,we would not hv enjoyed it half as much.She made it so interesting. Thank you Lisa for making our trip to Beijing so memorable.We will always remember the Summer Palace excursion with you. It is the joy that u take in your work Lisa,that translates into excellence in your performance.

This is our second tour with this company. We had the same guide, Lisa on both days. She was on time with pick up on both days. It was overall a pleasant and enjoyable experience. Lisa spoke excellent English and explained the history of the place to us and brought us on the boat ride!

We are so happy we booked this half day tour of the Summer Palace through Trip Advisor. We had a very nice young man , Howard, as our private guide. He contacted us the night before to confirm our trip. He spoke English well. He arrived promptly at the designated time to pick us up in our hotel lobby. Howard was very knowledgeable about the Palace and also answered other questions we had about China and the culture. I would highly recommend this tour and request Howard!
