Tour guide never showed. I WOULD NOT BOOK A TOUR WHERE "MEA TOURS" IS PROVIDING THE GUIDE because they are not reliable. I had to contact Viator to reschedule. Viator had Mea Tours contact me and they wanted my group of 7 to meet another group at a meeting point that was over a mile away! Unacceptable. It was a disaster of a day as we tried to see these great sites in the limited time we were there. Viator did give us a full refund, so I appreciated that.

Guide was not at the meeting point, there was no pre tour communication, when I tried to call the operators number there was no answer, when we tried to use face book and Viator app to communicate still no reply. Of course there is also no way to communicate directly with Viator either. Terri Viator bookings in a row within the days with no show

We canceled the tour-difficult to contact the company - had the hotel attempt to call the number provided and they were unable to reach stating the number unlisted attempted to contact several times

We booked this at fairly short notice and were lucky to get a place. I would recommend booking at least several days in advance to be able to choose your time and day of choice. Our guide Roberta was fabulous, fluent, friendly, humorous and expert. We were anxious about locating our guide at the arch but this wasn't a problem despite the constant pestering by people selling nik naks water bangles etc. We all had head sets despite being a small group so heard everything clearly. Each year piece was brand new so no hygiene concerns. We jumped the queue with our guide and had plenty of time at each point to look listen and take photographs. The steps in the Collesseum are steep so you need secure comfy foot wear to cope with them and 3 hours of walking. Roberta told historical facts related them to modern times and brought with her pictures with overlays to show us how what we were looking at would have looked 2000 years ago. Finished tired exhilarated and very satisfied by the whole experience. Remember you are paying for your guide and the entry fees are extra, but this is clear in the booking details. Book on-line
