Fantastic experience! Kyle was super flexible with our last-minute booking and went the extra mile to make our excursion a wonderful time. He is super knowledgeable about rivers/lakes across the US and brings a fun, vacation vibe to every interaction. Highly recommend this company!

We did the 7 mile private tour. This was a spontaneous activity, but ended up being the best part of our trip to Asheville. Our guide, Tim, was great! We received free photos, and all service is included in the price.

My husband and I (“young” 50s) loved our 7-mile trip down the French Broad River. Jackson is a great guide. He explained everything well and was fun to hang out with. He is a patient and supportive guide. It was the perfect amount of adventure and relaxation. My husband loves whitewater rafting but I wanted something more relaxing. We both had a great time.

Did a 7 mile with Jackson as our guide. He was great company and helped us to navigate the river with confidence. Particular shout out also to the management as we accidentally booked the wrong date and when we showed up unexpectedly they still managed to accommodate our tour with only 30 minutes notice. Great service all round.

Took the 7 mile trip on a rainy Thursday morning with Jackson as our guide and we had the best time! He was very knowledgeable, professional & made sure we were well equipped to tackle the small rapids head on 😎. We would highly recommend this tour as it’s the perfect workout and you get to see glimpses of the biltmore estate. Thank you Jackson!

This was the second time my wife and I took the 7 mile tour and it was again fantastic. Our guide Jackson was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. These guys know what they're doing. The river was scenic and peaceful, and allows a nice view of Biltmore. It doesn't require any previous SUP experience and the river flows at such a pace that virtually anyone can do it. Hit some breweries afterwards!

This was a great experience!!! We went as a family of 7, my 12 year old son was the youngest, and everyone had a wonderful time. The 7 mile trip was the perfect amount of time on the water. The on sly suggestion I would make is to have a flag at the endpoint, to help people see where to meet at the end. But other than that… it was great! Thank you!! We plan to visit again!

Part of our 20th anniversary getaway, we booked the guided tour down the French Broad. Steve and Kyle took care of every last detail, from selecting the right equipment for us, spending some time at the beginning of the tour making sure we were comfortable on the boards and could control it in various conditions, to taking photos and pointing out interesting landmarks and wildlife along the way. All while keeping us safe, pointing out where to aim to get through rough water and around obstacles. We thoroughly enjoyed our morning out on the river and wholeheartedly recommend Wai Mauna.

My daughter and I had the best time on our 7 mile paddleboarding. My daughters and I did the 4 mile paddleboarding the day before. The scenery was so nice and beautiful. The guide is very friendly and makes sure you're comfortable. I would suggest them to anyone. You definitely want to experience this.

We had originally booked this tour with another company who called me that morning saying they were cancelling all tours due to high river water. We were looking for alternative things to do and I thought Wai Mauna had a lake option. I called and a knowledgeable person answered. Just at the off chance I asked if they were doing the ricer SUP option. He said they were and they were able to meet us soon at 10:30 am. Our original tour was at 10am so it was nice to keep plans on track. When we met out guidelines at the park we were transported to our dropoff area. On the way he was able to explain why some companies wont do excursions with higher water but also why safety should not be a concern ( we both have a little experience). He was very good at giving simple instructions to navigate and gave a quick lesson before we were off. He was also able to give additional information on the town and things to do. Once we were on the water we were shocked that thec1st company had canceled everything for the day. What was the big deal? The water was moving quickly but not a scarey pace. As long as you are able to paddle to the pick up sight at the end it was fine. I could see this being a concern if you ha e never done any kind of paddling and water excursions in the past and were maybe a little afraid. However the Wai Mauna screened us 1st and was able to accommodate based on our skill level. I would recommend they to friends
