Overview

A 4-hour guided van tour into one of Marlborough's natural gems. Your guide will tell youstories of the Marlborough pioneers from a hill top view. You will then be guided along a beach which was once the bullock trail of early settlers beneath the towering white bluffs. You can walk into the conservationvalley to see and hear the native bird life being restored to this area. The nearby Wairau Lagoon is the first site of human occupation, the Polynesian Moa Hunter. You will bemet by your guide atyour accommodation in Blenheim or at the Blenheim Railway Station. After a short safety and environmental briefing you will be driven to Vernon Station Farm.

You will be driven to 300 meters above sea level to see 360 degree views of Marlborough's Wairau andAwatere Valleys, Cloudy Bayand the Richmond Ranges. Hereyour guidewill tell youabout the first indigenouspeople to settleat the Wairau Lagoons.

You will then bedriven to the foot of theWhite Bluff,Te Parinui o Whiti, on the private beach youcan enjoycoffee, tea and a muffin. Your guide will tell you stories of the early Europeansettlers to this area.You can take an optional guided walk into a nearby valley into a privately owned conservation area where your guide will help you identify birds or you can choose to stroll the beach. It is a beach with a bounty of sponges, shells and driftwood.

After a short time relaxing you will be returned to your pick up point.
