Very beautiful Place to visit.
Guide Very Nice.i do not want to say more. next time i Will not contribute with any information.
-
Shocking place - full of Asian travellers, no sunlight in winter months, rubbish shops. A classic case of mass tourism ruining what was once a pretty and charming little village. Save your money - don’t bother.
-
Hallstatt is so beautiful. The guide Wolfgang gave a good picture about life in Hallstaat and Salzburg - the history and the present

Tour Guide Alina was pleasant and knowledgeable. However we were left on our own for 2.5 hrs in Hallstadt without her services .. basically a drop off. She decided to take a group from the bus up the ountain on the funicular for an extra 16.50 Euros each while the rest were left alone until time to make the bus...the only downside of the excursion. Comfortable clean coach and good driver. Date of tour was Dec 23. Booked through Viatour but run by Panorama Tours. Lastly, Viatour the ticket voucher stated FREE admission to Hallstadt Ossuary but Tour Guide stated this was NOT a part of the tour! Not sure if Viatour and Parorama Tours have their act tovether!

Hallstatt is really beautiful and live up to its name of being a UNESCO site. You must definitely do the sky walk as it allows you to go to the top and have the panoramic view of Hallstatt. However the tour was too short, it was quite rush for us and there wasn't much time for you to chill. If you do the skywalk, there is not much time left for you to do other stuff. Should consider doing a whole day trip if you are going.

Excellent place, well organized tour, excellent guide, excellent driver. Wish to have more time in Hallstatt.

Wow! The panoramic views are almost beyond description, and that's before getting to Hallstatt. A lot of his (sitting) to.e in a round trip but everywhere there was great scenery ... Think of it as Vermont and New Hampshire on steroids. The town of Hallstatt was quite pretty, the overlook a definite must do at additional cost of 13,50 Euro. Even in September, plenty of international tourists (apparently a big attraction for Chinese your groups).

Hallstat was beautiful. As a bonus, the scenery on bus trip there was fabulous. The countryside and the houses looks like it has been manicured. The tour guide, Richard, was bright and cheery, full of interesting facts and very easy to understand with very good English. If I could offer some constructive criticism, please add another 30mins to the stay. This would allow for a boat cruise. But overall, very enjoyable.

This is a sweet little lake side town that is just lovely!!! There's several things to do and because of that I would recommend more than 2.5 hours. That's why it's only four stars!!

We thoroughly enjoyed the tour to Halstatt and the view far above the township. Our tour guide was excellent and we highly recommend this tour.
