Doris our guide was absolutely amazing. As my partner and I were the only in attendance for the tour, Doris led us on a lovely private tour. She spent extra time with us, took us to place not on the standard tour, and ensured we were entirely satisfied with our experience. We would highly recommend the tour to any visitor to NYC.

Surrounded by the architecture of beautiful brownstones, Carolyn, our guide, shared many informative facts about Harlem and related the impact of historic events on this vibrant neighborhood. Our parting meal was a delicious soulful lunch, down the street for the Apollo Theater! We had a fantastic walk! Thank you, Carolyn!

Beautiful buildings and interesting history. Carolyn is a 20 resident in the area and very active in her community. She had so much information about her neighborhood to share. She also gave us some great info about blues music in the neighborhood and we followed her recommendation and it was awesome! Thanks for that Carolyn. We had a delicious meal at Manna’s Soul food. Really good! Would highly recommend this tour.

Our tour guide, Debbi, was wonderful. She filled in at the last moment for another tour guide. She is a very, very knowledgeable resident of Harlem. Her expertise is architecture and local history. She really opened our eyes to looking up and appreciating the brownstones and houses of religion in the community. At the end of the trip she walked us to the bus stop and stayed until the bus departed. She has a very beautiful and giving spirit!!

Our guide Doris gave us a fascinating tour of Harlem, filled with history and personal stories. We loved hearing about the people and culture which create the distinctiveness of the Harlem neighbourhood. The walking was at an easy pace, and the lunch was delicious. Get out of downtown and midtown and explore the diversity of New York with this very interesting tour.
