Know More about this tour

Meet your guide at 6:30pm in front of Pico House just across the street from Union Station. For two hours, you'll walk through some of Los Angeles' spookiest sites as your guide recounts true stories of unsolved murders and ongoing mysteries. Are the footsteps and voices heard in Pico House the ghosts of Pio Pico, the last Mexican governor of California, who built the hotel? Or are they the cries of the immigrants killed nearby during the Chinatown Massacre of 1871? Does Rudolf Valentino still haunt his old suite at the Alexandria Hotel? Walk the underground pedestrian tunnels beneath Civic Center, learn about the bomb that leveled the L.A. Times building in 1910 and killed 21 people, and ponder what is perhaps the city's oldest cold case: the infamous 1947 murder of Elizabeth Short, "The Black Dahlia." The tour ends at Pershing Square Downtown.

  • Nice walking tour, good mixture of history and tales of hauntings. Very knowledgeable and personable guide. Don't expect to see any actual ghosts on the tour, but you will see some pretty interesting related places.

  • Was hoping for more ghost stories, or maybe scarier stuff, maybe go into some spooky alley or something. I still enjoyed it because I like history and architecture but the stories or story telling didn't feel as engaging as I hoped. Make sure you know the starting and ending points are not the same. Very impressed that the guide remembered all the dates and names!

  • Great and informative.

  • Very memorable walking tour. Well research and Yes, pretty scary.

  • Two thumbs up!!! Excellent experience. Our guide was very knowledgeable and make the experience fun. Gave us also tips of where to eat. I highly recommend this tour.

  • Great way to see Downtown LA at night because I'd never go by myself. Lots of interesting facts about murders/murderers throughout LA history. Some people were late to show up and the tour guide was great about arranging a spot to meet them so that the rest of us didn't have to wait and the latecomers didn't miss much.
