Know More about this tour

You'll meet your guide in the beautiful and picturesque Campo de' fiori, with its wonderful morning market or its relaxing afternoon atmosphere. After a look at Michelangelo's Farnese Palace, you will walk along narrow alleys and reach Piazza navona, a jewel in the middle of the city. With its fountains, colors and street painters Piazza navona offers an endless memory of Roman beauty and an enchanting story of the papal Rome
You will then move through the "Roman labyrinth" and reach one of the most unbelievable monuments of the world: the Pantheon. An astonishing Roman temple turned into a church, it's the best preserved example of ancient architecture in the world (IMPORTANT: the group WILL enter the Pantheon by paying 3 euro tickets at the entrance. Please check under "exclusions").

And now, narrow streets again!  walking beside breathless areas such as Piazza di Pietra or Piazza Colonna. We will reach the most famous fountain of the world: Trevi fountain! with Neptune on his shell-shaped chariot. The workmanship and quality that stands to this day will impress you, and the water falling down from travertine rocky spurs and the majesty of the fountain make the fountain an experience that you will never forget. Don't forget to throw the coin behind your shoulder!
We will walk to the fashion district of Rome, know as "Piazza di spagna", where the imposing and magnificent Spanish steps will welcome you. Here you can live (and shop) like a Roman, or just breath the magic atmosphere of the most dynamic square of the city.

Joy of Rome is a sheer delight! We went on 4 tours with them and all were supremely fantastic! The wonderful Serena took us on The Highlights of Rome walking tour and the next day the Ancient Rome tour. We then had the delightful Giulia guide us on the very special Tour Tivoli and finally Francesca who showed us around The Vatican. All guides and tours were first rate and i recommend our guides and The Joy of Rome tours to make your stay in Rome extra special!

The guide provided excellent history and context for all the points of interest. Alessandra added points of interest at our request. She took us to a local bakery for sweets and espresso. Highly recommend this tour!

This was the very first tour that we did on our trip and Cristiano was an excellent guide. We met in Campo de' Fiori after a quick breakfast in the open market. The market was awesome and really immerses you into the Italian culture. After learning about the area we moved on to Piazza Navona, Trevi Fountain, and the Spanish Steps. Cristiano was very informative, patient with our kids, and generally just great company. He not only informed us of the area but also gave us tips on navigating the city and selecting restaurants. Hot tip select a restaurant one block away from main attractions, without someone begging you to come in, and listen for the Italian accents. If there are a lot then the food is good Italian food.

This is a good tour to orient you to the tourist area when you first arrive. We had a very nice tour guide and we saw things and routes we would have never seen or noticed. Aming other things, we learned about commissioned artists of the day and the power of the church over the centuries and how it demonstrated its power with many monuments and the papal sign. Our guide was easy to understand and knowledgeable.

Maria Rosaria was our guide on an unseasonably wet day in Rome recently. She was very warm and friendly but her willingness to answer our many questions and to tailor the trip accordingly was really appreciated. Her knowledge was hugely impressive as well as her passion for the history of Rome and her love of the city. The time flew by and I would heartily recommend Maria Rosaria and the Joy of Rome.

We had a fantastic tour with Francesca! My husband and I were the only people who booked a tour during this time, so it was a totally private and comprehensive tour. We had been to Rome five years ago but didn’t book any official tours, so we never fully learned or embraced what we were seeing as we were walking around. This tour changed all that! Francesca was knowledgeable, friendly, funny, accommodating, and offered tons of insights and recommendations. I’d highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Rome - we’ve been raving about it since we got home. Thanks for such a fantastic time!

Our guide was fun, humorous, and knowledgeable. We very much enjoyed the tour and would absolutely suggest it to others. I much prefer formal tours as we enjoy the anecdotal comments that we would not get from simply reading a brochure on our own. It was entertaining and enjoyable.
