Know More about this tour

You'll meet your guide in the beautiful and picturesque Campo de' fiori, with its wonderful morning market or its relaxing afternoon atmosphere. After a look at Michelangelo's Farnese Palace, you will walk along narrow alleys and reach Piazza navona, a jewel in the middle of the city. With its fountains, colors and street painters Piazza navona offers an endless memory of Roman beauty and an enchanting story of the papal Rome
You will then move through the "Roman labyrinth" and reach one of the most unbelievable monuments of the world: the Pantheon. An astonishing Roman temple turned into a church, it's the best preserved example of ancient architecture in the world (IMPORTANT: the group WILL enter the Pantheon by paying 3 euro tickets at the entrance. Please check under "exclusions").

And now, narrow streets again!  walking beside breathless areas such as Piazza di Pietra or Piazza Colonna. We will reach the most famous fountain of the world: Trevi fountain! with Neptune on his shell-shaped chariot. The workmanship and quality that stands to this day will impress you, and the water falling down from travertine rocky spurs and the majesty of the fountain make the fountain an experience that you will never forget. Don't forget to throw the coin behind your shoulder!
We will walk to the fashion district of Rome, know as "Piazza di spagna", where the imposing and magnificent Spanish steps will welcome you. Here you can live (and shop) like a Roman, or just breath the magic atmosphere of the most dynamic square of the city.

We did the tour our first day in Rome and our guide Emma was great. She had alit if knowledge and made it fun and you get to see so much, highly recommend. Great way to start our three days in Rome.

Our guide was fun, humorous, and knowledgeable. We very much enjoyed the tour and would absolutely suggest it to others. I much prefer formal tours as we enjoy the anecdotal comments that we would not get from simply reading a brochure on our own. It was entertaining and enjoyable.

Francesca was incredibly knowledgeable and interesting. More importantly, she was fun! I would recommend this tour, but specifically ask for Francesca she was amazing!!

  • 30-Apr-2017

Francesca from Joy of Rome was a fantastic guide. She was so knowledgeable and told great stories for each site. She got us into the Pantheon before it closed for a church service. Highly recommend!

  • 10-Apr-2017

This tour was fabulously presented by Francesca. Definitely NOT a boring history lesson! As our group was small in number, only 4, we were able to visit art works by Carravaggio also. Francesca spoke with such passion and enthusiasm. She has a Phd in History of Art and what she doesn't now about is not worth knowing! Would definitely recommend this tour highly. You won't be disappointed. The 3 hours went by so quickly, we could have stayed with her all day. So much to hear about. Fabulous!!!

Great Great Tour. I was the only one to show up on this particular tour, so I had the tour guide all to myself. Very friendly and fun day in Rome.

If you only have a few hours this is a great tour. Nicole was a wonderful guide sharing her knowledge of the arts and Roman construction as well as the Roman way of life. The Pantheon is a spectacular site and Navona was stunning. Walking is a wonderful way to see Rome especially with a great guide!
