Overview
If you travel in Romania in May of June, you can do this hiking trip in the Ciucas Mountains and have a chance to step on the red carpet of flowers. This is probably the largest field with Rhododendron Flowers in Romania. But, even if you miss the flowers season of Rhododendron, this is an excellent walk and perfect escape for a one-day trip from Bucharest. You will bepicked-up from Bucharest and transfer to the foothills of Ciucas Mountain, from where the outdoor adventure starts. This tour requires at least hiking boots, small backpack and good physical and mental condition. The level of difficulty is medium to high.

There is a considerable portion of hiking on a sunny forest road, which is very inclined and full of revolving stones. Private cars and cars for turists also get there often leaving behind dust and emissions. Nice portion in the wood till the forest road, sunny portion till the top from the Ciucas resort
