As an architect I love historical buildings especially when I get to experience the space in person rather than study them in textbooks. I was a little disappointed not to be inside any of the places we saw, but I soaked in a bit of local culture which I always welcome.

Kay presented a super organized tour, plus she was clear, easy to hear, and very friendly. She presented a great history of Charleston from the early colonial period to post civil war. I learned a lot and it was a great way for our son, who’s just moved to the area, to learn the history of Charleston. Highly recommend!

We had a great time enjoying this tour on our first visit to Charleston. Dennis was our guide and he was great, very personable and funny. The tour has a good pace and lots of interesting spots. We learned a lot of history about the town, we never knew rice was such a big trade here! I would definitely recommend this tour if you enjoy learning history about the places you visit and don’t want to spend all your time trying to figure out what to do and where to go.
