A fun and relaxing way to see downtown Napa from a different perspective and learn some of the town’s old west history. Our guide, Justin, was full of great stories and was quite entertaining.

Mellow kayaking while listening to great stories about the history of Napa. Justin will easily keep you interested, he is just excellent. Definitely recommended!

Fun trip. Very cool local guide who knows all the inside scoop about Napa. Half history and ecology, half on-your-own exploration. A nice mix. Really appreciated the passion of these people running this tour

Justin was fantastic! This was a nice break from wine tasting. My husband and I enjoyed all the great history Justin had about the Napa area and the wildlife. He’s very knowledgeable and a great story teller! Would highly recommend this activity, a must!

Great few hours, the first hour you float down the river and listen to the history of Napa from Justin. Then the next hour you Kayak on your own down the river. We enjoyed the wildlife and peaceful beauty.

Justin is passionate about the history and stories of Napa. It was a hot day, so we appreciated no vigorous paddling required. We were able to use the entire rental time and kayak more on our own after the tour. The river is calm and no real kayak experience is required. A fun experience overall!

Nice time kayaking the river and enjoyed hearing Justin tell us the Napa history. Got to see a mink frolic along the shoreline and in the water on our post tour exploration free time

  • 14-Jul-2022

Justin was a great tour leader with facts/history about wildlife & Napa. A relaxing time along the river. Ate at Agaves right before our tour. Both the tour and lunch were great!

We celebrated Father's Day, and the experience was great. We were late, and I was freaking out, but your guides were super understanding, and we were allowed to catch up to our tour group and enjoy The river. Everyone was super friendly, and our guide was very inclusive during story Time. We floated up and down the river and even had free time to explore the river bank. I would recommend the kayak experience.

This was ok. Justin clearly cares about Napa and knows a lot about it. However, we didn't do much. We went about 0.4 mile down the river and about 0.1 mile up the river in an hour and and 20 minutes. We mostly sat in our kayaks listening to stories. We didn't get to see much. Pictures certainly made it look like we would see and do more. We went much further in the 20 extra minutes we had to paddle around after the "tour." We are by no means expert kayakers, it was only my second time in a kayak (although I have spent time in canoes and on paddle boards.) We got pretty bored in the third true crime story when we were just sitting at a bend of the river not going any where. We would have enjoyed and seen more if we had just rented the kayaks for a couple of hours.
