An absolutely brilliant tour. Our tour guide George could not have been better. He was knowledgable, interesting, informative and friendly. The pubs we visited were literally hundreds of years old. George told us all the background to the pubs and their respective histories which was fascinating. To sit inside them and hear all about the history of each pub was amazing. We also had a sample of the beer - delicious. George also told us much about the history of the surrounding areas that we walked around. If you had a more general question about the history of London, George was only too happy to answer and he was so knowledgeable. What really came over to me was his enthusiasm and passion for the history of the city of London. I would recommend this tour to anyone who is at all interested in the history of our oldest drinking establishments. Thank you George - the tour made our day.

Excellent tour - lots of history and good ale - thanks to Chris. Added real colour to the culture behind modern London

Me and my partner Tim had a great tour with George who was a really good historian. It felt like we got so much more than just walking and stopping in certain places since he knew so much about little details all around, throughout the entire walk. Really, really good! We also got lots of other tips for places to go and explore and a new favourite pub for good food.

Had a fun afternoon, walking round London picking up facts and drinking in quirky, old pubs! Planning on the ghost tour next. Thanks George! 🙂

We spent a wonderful couple of hours with George, our guide. But George is much more than a guide. We’re traveling with our 19 yr old grandson and we’re looking for a fun and informative tour. George was full of information, history, interesting facts, and all the things that make a good guide special. I have been with many many guides in several countries and George is exactly the kind that you want at every stop. As in all history classes (and London is an open history class) it can either be the most interesting are the most boring class. George made it the most fun the most interesting and the most memorable. Thank you George!

The Historic Pub tour was great. Our guide George was knowledgeable, friendly and funny. He told great stories while we sipped 4 different kinds of local beer at 4 historic pubs. I highly recommend the tour.

We was so lucky that it was just My husband and me on the tour with George. He was energic, funny and knew a lot of stories. We had a fantastic 2 hours walk in London and we enjoyed every minute of it. We went inside 2 pubs and got served beer of course. A big thankyou to George who answered all our questions. We will recommend this tour if you want to do something a little outside the mainstream.

I've been on a fair share of pub tours and pub crawls, and this was not what I expected. This was a historic walking tour of the city of London that stopped at a couple pubs. It was super casual with minimal structure. I don't think our tickets were checked. The tour met an Underground stop, walked to a pub for a half-pint, then walked around for a mile or so stopping to look at pubs, then eventually ended up an another pub about 90 minutes after the first. Our guide was really nice and had some fun stories to share, but it was definitely more of a historic walking tour than a pub tour.
