This was the first walking tour we’ve ever done anywhere and now we wish we have done more! Our guide, Shannon, was ready with a wealth of great stories to accompany each stop along the tour. She shared not only bits of history from the earliest days of Memphis to contemporary history, but touched on lots of details about the geography and it’s part in why Memphis is what it is today. Fun fact: our guide is one of the folks in call to step in and guide the ducks at the Peabody Hotel. Two hours and we barely touched the surface—need to come back for more of Memphis!

So much history about Memphis on this tour. Also, tour director suggested other places to go after the tour. She was so knowledgeable and professional.

The tour guide was awesome and knowledgeable. Great experience and it is cool to have the context while walking around the town!

This was a good tour. It was casual and laid back. Tour guide was very informative. Taught by a native Memphian.

It is a great lesson in Memphis history. Always something to keep your interest. Members of the tour were equally interested. So many places to eat after the tour so come with an appetite. I will do the tour again with out of town visitors.

Kate was a very knowledgeable guide but she needed to speak louder so everyone could hear. Viator should use headsets or a megaphone to ensure everyone hears. Also the guide should have made sure we all had water because it was so hot walking around Memphis.

In town for a conference and didn't have a lot of time. This was quick, to the point and covered a lot of ground. Guide was very knowledgeable and answered all questions. Highly recommend! (PS: Do not get the hype surrounding Peabody Ducks ... time better spent listening to music on Beale Street).

The guide was very informative and had everyone engaged with the wealth of interesting historical happenings in the area.

I loved this tour in Memphis with Kate. She was prompt and very kind. She gave us some great insights on Memphis and its complicated history during the war and prohibition. Without the tour we would have missed some very interesting history such as the first " bug zapper". This tour should not be missed and I recommend doing it the first day your in Memphis as I think you'll appreciate seeing Memphis in a new light. Thanks again Kate for being our tour guide.

Great way to get to know Memphis and the history. Highly recommend. Fun stop at the Peabody to see the ducks and plenty of Elvis and 50’s music lore.
