That was an amazing tour. From touristic bits to 100% local. Experiencing the areas where only locals know how to reach out and seeing the incredible life around some of the most charming areas in the city.
Won't spoil anything, but it was so worth that if you miss it, you'll regret it (specially when you hear from others about those places and "how could you miss it?!"). Our guide was a major part of that as well. She was super open minded and gave the true input about Istanbul from a turkish person perspective.
But have to be honest here and say that it's a tough tour. There people out there, ready to walk for hours (like me), up and down the local hills, under a very hot weather (probably). If you're not into getting to know the city by foot, that might not be your kind. If you're a walker, you HAVE TO take that tour! -
Apple (as he likes to be called) is an excellent and fun guide. I couldn't have asked for a better day tour.

fantastic authentic experience.would recommend to anyone.do not understand previous bad reviews.excellent

Our guide Burak Gulcan was great. Flexible and informative. However, the cost of the tour did not get us entrance into the Hagia Sophia or Topkapi Palace. After being in the country for 12 days we understood the cost of things. This tour was too expensive.

A fascinating day out artfully paced by Burak whose knowledge of Istanbul's history is encyclopaedic. Burak clearly loves this city and has a wonderful ability to bring it to life with stories and detail that he matched to our interests and understanding.
-
A great day tour that took us down many back streets of Istanbul that we would never have seen. The tour was well paced and our guide Burak did a great job explaining the history and culture of this wonderful city.
-
What a great day! I am so glad I signed up for this tour at the last minute. My guide, Burak Gulcan, was so accommodating, well-informed on the history of Istanbul, and gave me a so much more culturally-rich experience of Istanbul than I could have gotten through the standard tours that I couldn't thank him enough. He lead me to many places, experiences, sights, tastes, and locales that I would not have seen had I been exploring on my own or stuck with the highlights tour. I would recommend him to anyone. We had a great day!

My husband and I booked this tour in early September and enjoyed every second of it. Emre was entertaining, friendly and very knowledgeable. We learned so much about the history, architecture and he personally recommended restaurants for us. I can't recommend this tour enough. To start our trip with an understanding of the city, a good grasp on the layout and knowing how to work the transportation system was a god sent! If you do one thing in Istanbul make it this tour!
-
My guide Burak was wonderful. He showed me so many interesting places. We walked all over - even though the weather decided to rain - it didn't interfere with the day. I really enjoyed the day.

The tour really gave our group a far better understanding of what it Istanbul is really like.
Along the way, our fantastic guide Burak gave us honest and intriguing insights into his country that made us more aware of Turkey past and present.
