Travelling in small group comfort in our Toyota 4WD vehicle, we depart Brisbane passing by the famous city landmarks of Suncorp Stadium and the XXXX Beer Brewery on our way west to the magnificent mountain country of the Spicers Gap region. We begin your day of exploration with home-made morning tea beside a magnificent inland waterway before following in the path of our early Australian pioneers by traversing the historic Spicers Gap road high into the mountains. Making plenty of stops along the route for photos, to relive the region's early days and discover the magnificent forests, we make our way to the top of the ranges before taking a guided walk to a rock formation known as Governors Chair. From this vantage point, the views are breath-taking!! A delicious BBQ lunch in the bush follows before continuing to Cunninghams Gap and enjoying a fully guided walk with your guide, Daryl through world-heritage listed rainforest. Plenty of time is provided to really appreciate this spectacular forest before descending the range to travel through typical Australian countryside where we have the great opportunity to see koala in the wild.
