We could not have asked for more! Our guide Andre was fantastic! He is extremely knowledgeable,a very safe driver and has a great sense of humor. It was a long ride back and forth from Auckland, but Andre made the time fly by. If you're LOTR enthusiasts like us, you don't want to miss this tour! Visiting the geothermal valley in Rotorua was a great bonus... absolutely fascinating. Thanks Andre and the rest of the crew at Cheeky Kiwi for a great day!

Our tour guide Lance was spectacular. Prompt, pleasant and entertaining. He shares freely his knowledge of NZ and the Maori culture. Well worth the price for Hobbiton, the buffet lunch and the cultural performance.

There were 3 of us visiting from Northern California and decided to take this tour. I was a bit skeptical as I'm not a fan of tours (especially all day ones) or Hobbit stuff. I LOVED the tour and Lance (Our trusty guide & driver) made it fun, interesting, and comfortable. Hobbiton was beautiful! You don't need to be a fan to enjoy and appreciate the creativity and beauty of the landscapes. So many 'Insta' moments too! Our time at Te Puia was wonderful. So much history, beauty, nature, art and great food. There were only a total of 6 of us in the van so the ride was comfortable. Lance made several 'pit stops' for us to stretch and use the bathrooms along the way. I can not recommend this tour enough and have already told several people about my great experience on this tour. KIA ORA my friends!

We started our tour with Jack leaving at 6 am. It was well worth the early departure because we were able to stop and experience a beautiful sun rise. Our guide was a wealth of knowledge and very fun. We also were the first group of the day for Hobbiton. Snacks were provided. I enjoyed the fact that we each introduced ourselves so we knew something about the others on the tour. We were a group of 7 so that also was great. We met up with Tania and joined her group to go to Te pia. and a quick view of rotorua. She treated us to some special places. We did not do the buffet or the cultural ceremony as that was not a part of our your. I would recommend them for your tour.

What a wonderful day! It is a long one, so I was happy that we had a great tour guide, Lance. He was very knowledgeable about New Zealand and it’s history. There is quite a bit of driving involved, but the time passes quick and the small tour bus was comfortable. Lance pointed out different interesting places and things along the way. We had provided snacks and water along the way. Hobbiton, as expected, was absolutely lovely and just a beautiful place to be. We were the first tour of the day, meaning no other people in our photos of the place! And Hobbiton in the morning after the fog has lifted and the plants are covered in dew is a sight not to be missed! I loved Rotorua! It was such an informative place. The Maori culture show and hangi lunch is well worth it. You won’t leave hungry, that’s for sure. The people working at Te Puia are passionate and very willing to teach you about their history and what they are doing now. Overall, it was a great day and a highlight of my holiday!
