The Tour guides and bus drivers were outstanding but the experience wasn’t that great as long as you stayed on the bus you were good but when you hopped off you could spend 45minutes to an hour waiting for a bus. I always do these tours in every city I go to and this one was not the best.

I had pre-booked this tour online. I was a solo traveller and made my way fo the start point by taxi. There were 2 large tour buses parked there, both with “hop on, hop off” advertising on the side, and there was a ticket stand , with two employees standing at it. They were busy chatting to each other and I stood there for several minutes, before interrupting them to #1 ask of I was in the right place and #2 to present my digital ticket. My ticket was scanned and they resumed their conversation, without any further instruction on which bus I was to get on. I waited again but, as it was the designated departure time, I had to interrupt them again to ask which bus I should be on. (I would like to add that I have mobility issues, and need some time to get around, so I was worried that I might miss the tour). The bus was open-top. I found the stairs reasonably easy to climb and the seating was good. The tour guide (I didn’t catch his name) spoke clearly and was audible. However, when pointing out places of interest he would say something like “coming up is —-“ but didn’t inform us of which side of the bus to look out to. Hence, some places were missed as they had been passed. On the day of the tour, some sights were inaccessible due to road closures because of events in the city. I understand that this had nothing to do with the tour company, but, as it was a 3-day ticket, it might have been an idea to inform us before the start, giving the opportunity to take the tour on another day. It was a pleasant tour, which gave an insight into the city’s sights and culture but I did feel that I had been let down somewhat.

Had trouble finding the QR code for the reservation. Need better get instructions. Has to copy site url onto another web browser to work.

Two bus tour companies are listed on Tripadvisor, but they both accept the other's passengers. This is a good thing, because buses showed up infrequently. They said every 20 minutes - at times we waited 45 minutes. One of our tour guides was excellent; another talked so fast we could not understand her. Their brochure shows a side trip to the zoo and other places - we were not provided with that opportunity.

If you do not have a lot of time in the city, this is a good way to go around and see the "must see " places. Tour guides are very knowledgeable and the buses were always on time, thank you!!

we have been screwed first we could not get off at the stop we wanted . but the worst is when we tried to get back on again. after waitng an half hour the bus that showed off was full so we could not get on. it is awfull that they do not have enough bus going around to match the number of tickets they sell very bad service . but the staff was good

Not fair to not tell people there are no tours and then default to the next day and not offer a refund.

Whole tour was excellent. Didn't realize Ben Franklin was such an overachiever. Tour guide was very knowledgeable of Philly and its history

I've done big bus tours in other cities and this one was not great. They sped through the tour so quickly that you didn't really get to see the sights unless you were at a designated stop. The live tour guide was nice and fairly interesting. And just FYI this tour and the red double decker bus are the same tour under different names. If I had it to do over, I wouldn't spend the money.
