The Orchestra I Virtuosi dellopera di Roma, formed by professors of the most prestigious Italian conservatories, is specialized in performing whole opera repertoire, specially from the Italian lyrical tradition.

La Traviata, the most famous opera by Giuseppe Verdi, set in Paris in mid 1800, narrates the impossible love between Violetta, a well-known courtesan, and Alfredo, a young good-looking nobleman. Since its beginning, their story is predestined to end in tragedy.

The Orchestra I Virtuosi dell'opera di Roma usually perform in the elegant Salone margherita Theatre and in the prestigious Church of St. Paul within the Walls in Rome.

Worth every penny. Got a box seat and dinner combo. A Must Do.

They sang there hearts out. Great theater, great dinner, super waiter, great time. Its a great show and costumes. Dinner was good. Included desert, espresso and fizzy water.

This was the first opera we have attended. It was entertaining even though it was all done in Italian.

Booked to go with a friend who really likes the opera who seemed to quite enjoy it, although have seen better elsewhere. It was quite a nice atmosphere and we had dinner in a box which was okay but the service was somewhat erratic but think this was due to a shortage of staff and the food was basic and could have been a lot warmer. I would recommend eating elsewhere before or after the opera.

A truly wonderful evening of great theatre and food, all in a single package. Well worth the cost.
Theatre is a lovely delightfully old fashioned, a place where top hats and so on would not be out of place. Delightful staff, great menu, excellent singing, what more could you want?

It was amazing. We had a great evening in this old theater. It was splendid. The interprets passed the emotions directly to the public. Beautiful.

This was perhaps the only one and most dissatisfying part of our tour to Italy for 11 days! The reporting time mentioned on the voucher was 7,30 P.M and we promptly arrived at 7.15 P.M ( even though we had to almost struggle to get there as we had finished another full day tour just a while back and had to get back to the hotel to wash and change our attire due the exceptionally hot day in Rome and dressing up right for the Opera ).But the organizers did not seem to respect the time of tourists like us having very limited time on hand! This was our second and final night in magical Rome and we had plans for the evening with some friends over dinner in a nice place at Piazza Navona..The Theatre organizers seemed to be literally calling people from the street and were trying to fill up the seats of an otherwise vacant theatre ! It was extremely hot inside with nil air conditioning and there were no apologies given for making us wait for much more than an hour as the show actually started at 8.40 P.M - once it started we though appreciated the efforts of the performers ( and we aren't Opera illiterates by the way! ) -we were losing patience , feeling extremely suffocated and uncomfortable inside( guys put make shift fans the least !) We tried to justify the visit with due respect for the performers as well as our time and money but finally gave up after act 2 at about 9.45 P.M - of what could have been a beautiful evening went for a six and our mood was absolutely spoilt, while our friends had moved on to another place ! What a disaster - How rude and unjustified to the people who turn up on time !!!! A complete waste and a scam even though the performance we saw was fine! Our last night in Rome diluted by the unprofessionalism of this theatre. Tired , we ventured back to our hotel and never saw Piazza at night!! Sad, Sad Very Sad!!

Beautiful setting. A meal was included in the price, although when I booked online there was not clear if the meal was included in price or not. There was also a delay in starting the show, but we accepted it, taking into account that we were in Italy, where 5 minutes means sometime 30. The musicians were brilliant. The singers were very good as well. There is a bar and during the breaks you can buy a drink. An excellent atmosphere.

La Traviata at the Salon Margarita was outstanding. We decided to go to an Opera and this was the only performance we could find taking place during our stay in Rome. We were not at all disappointed in this small production in a very quaint theater. I doubt many visitors to Rome will even search for this event and it is one you should not miss. Thanks to the cast and the orchestra for a great evening!

We had a very lovely time. If you enjoy opera, a box seat and good dinner, you may want to experience the opera di Roma. My husband loves opera and enjoyed this evening very much.

A lovely evening out in Rome. Small, quaint theatre - charming entertainment - lovely meal! We sat in a box and enjoyed the show from above. The meal was delicious and very well presented. Good selection of affordable wines were also available. This was our girls' night out and we thoroughly enjoyed it!
