This was an amazing experience! This was the first time my friends and I have ridden horses and the staff there helped us. We all had a blast! The place was super clean and the staff were all super nice. If it's cold out, they provide overalls and gear to help you stay warm so you can enjoy it!

We anticipated a great experience with the many positive reviews but this is a six star experience! We ranged in riding experience from novice to experienced. All of us had a fun day on the amazing well trained Icelandic Horses! Of note, and out layer of clothing and helmets are provided. Highly recommend!!

Very welcoming, fitted with a helmet and horse based on experience. One guide was to stay up front and one behind but halfway through the one at the back moved to the front so he could talk with the other guide. Didn’t feel very safe after this and the back horse was slowing down and trailing behind quite a bit. Also there was no conversation/interaction from the guides, only when they told us to get off the horses so they could have a little break. We all went round the whole thing in silence. We were all a little nervous when they just crossed a main road and we were just expected to follow, there were no instructions. The horses were lovely natured and very calm. The scenery was very picturesque. We were offered a hot drink and cake once we were finished which was a very nice way to end the experience.

Pickup was exactly on time, with a cheerful entertaining driver. At the farm, helmet fitting was very careful, which was comforting. The staff were good teachers, knowledgeable and kind, tailoring horse selection to our needs. The ride was gorgeous, and this who were comfortable got to try an Icelandic gait. We’ll worth the price!

Amazing experience! My phone maps led me to the incorrect bus stop and the bus driver called me to ask where I was, stayed with me on the phone to help figure out my location and come find me. If it weren’t for that I would have missed the excursion! The rest of the experience was great too. They spent the time to ask each individual what their riding experience is and how comfortable they are riding horses, then picked out a horse specifically for them. You can tell they genuinely love and care for the horses and want everyone to have a great time. Such a lovely family owned farm that had a warm and comforting feel. They checked in frequently during the ride to make sure everyone was doing ok. At the end they had hot coffee and pastries waiting for everyone. Would definitely recommend!

My girlfriends and I really enjoyed this adventure together. Thé pickup was easy. They offer so much warm gear. The horses were regal. And the family is wonderful. Ride is about 2 hrs with a nice stop. Recommend.

A really great experience riding Icelandic horses - beautiful animals and very well cared for. The slightly faster ride of the tolt is fun, I was nervous the first time the horse did it but the guides were reassuring and I relaxed and really enjoyed it any time the horse did it! Really enjoyable, lovely mountain views, fun going through the streams and a lovely way to experience Iceland from a different perspective. The pick up and drop off was smooth and on time, the hot drink and cake at the end was a lovely touch. Plenty of time was spent selecting just the right horse for your experience as well. Overall great morning!

I had a fabulous time riding Star at Laxnes Horse Farm. It is quite near Reykjavik, so traveling there is a lot quicker than many other tours. Don't worry if you don't have proper gear for riding; the farm supplies everything you need -- a warm jumpsuit, helmet, gloves, even boots. This is a family-run farm and the horses are lovely, sociable and well-cared for. The staff is thoughtful and selected appropriate mounts for everyone in the group and we rode through the countryside, even stopping to see a beautiful waterfall. This isn't one of those tours where you just get to sit on a walking horse. I was very eager to experience the tolt, which is the gait unique to Icelandic horses, and I enjoyed it enormously. After the ride, we were served coffee and delicious cake. Some tours feel very impersonal and commercial, but not this one. (I accidentally left my hat in the van after being dropped off, and they circled back to return it to me! )

Awesome experience, definitely recommend! The views were gorgeous and the horses were friendly and adorable. The guides were all super nice and helpful and kept checking if everything was ok. The bus stop pickup was extremely easy, they text you and message you which one is the closest as my hotel was in a no bus zone. There were a lot of people who had never been on a horse before and they were fine so no experience needed. Also enjoyed the coffee/pastries at the end. Was able to take lots of photos and videos while riding. You stop to see a waterfall before riding back. Btw some of their horses were in Game of Thrones and Lord of the Rings so that’s pretty cool!
