The two islands sitting in the center of Paris are amongst the best preserved areas of the city and represent its historic heart.  Medieval palaces, Gothic cathedrals and of course Notre Dame, the city's oldest monument.Walk with me through the historic heart of the city & discover vestiges of Paris from the Middle Ages, the hidden treasures of these two beautiful neighbourhoods.

On this tour you will discover the Conciergerie, originally built as a royal palace (before the Louvre was constructed), later used as a prison during the French Revolution.  You will visit the Sainte Chapelle, quite possibly the most beautiful church ever constructed.  Built in 1248, the building is home to the world's largest collection of original 13th century stained glass windows. A quick trip to the exterior of Notre Dame (entrance not included) is followed by a tour of the Ile de la Cit, followed by the romantic Ile St Louis - including a visit to the city's most famous ice cream shop !
