Know More about this tour

Explore Dynjandi waterfall and the stunning landscape of the Westfjords on this guided sightseeing day tour from Isafjordur. Dynjandi is one of Icelands most impressive & majestic waterfalls, and often considered the icon of The Westfjords. We stop for up to an hour at Dynjandi to enjoy the wonderful views of the waterfall and Arnarfjordur fjord, and listen to the soothing sound of Dynjandi tumbling down the mountain in a series of seven waterfalls.

The top tier is certainly the most impressive but each one of the other six is unique in its own right! We highly recommend doing the easy hike up to the top tier for a magnificent view.

On our way back we stop for half an hourat Hrafnseyri, a perfect place to enjoy light refreshments and take an optional stroll around to explore the traditional turfhouses and church, or to enter the museum dedicated to Iceland's independence hero Jn Sigursson who was born in Hrafnseyri.

You will enjoy the fantastic landscape of the Westfjordsall throughout the tour.

  • This tour was amazing!

  • This tour was very disappointing the tour guide was to be English speaking and she had very little command of the English language. It's over priced for a drive to the waterfall not falls and drive back. Book a taxi from the pier for a quarter of the price and get the same tour or better.

  • Another dreary day in Iceland- the the tour was great! Viator picks the best providers!

  • This was a very long bus ride to see beautiful scenery. The day was so perfect with warmth and sunshine. Walking to the seven falls is easy until last 3 then wet rocks and climbing with lots of people coming up and down very treacherous for those without good shoes and agility. But the enjoyment of the day did not hing on this. The was no food or water to buy on this 6-7 hour trip. Make sure you take snacks and water.

  • Service and info provided by the guide excellent. Unfortunately we were stuck in the last row of the bus and had limited view and restricted seating.

  • Oli was a fantastic tour guide. He took us to the first botanical garden in Iceland and helped me to climb up the path by the waterfall. He made frequent stops for picture taking and was very knowledgeable about the area.

  • We were met at the port by Annika .. a student studying for her masters... she took us to some magnificent waterfalls which we were able to hike to different levels... she spoke clearly and explained all the sites... would highly recommend this tour... you need to be mobile to get the full value of this tour...

  • This was a great tour. We had perfect Iceland weather and the views were wonderful. Worth going to see.

  • Enjoyed the day with our young guide who spoke perfect English. He took us to the falls, gave us a picnic lunch and then to a fishing village where he took us through a fish processing plant. He gave us samples of the fish processed here. Small group of 10 in a mini-bus. Nice excursion on a partially rainy day.

  • This was an excellent excursion. We were met at the dock by a rep from WildWest Fjords and were small group. The driver had a new 26 passenger bus a 4wd Mercedes that was up for the task. The guide Andrew was excellent. I'd have no trouble recommending this tour.
