Know More about this tour

Start your tour with a pickup from your European-side hotel in Istanbul by luxury Mercedes minivan. Settle back in air-conditioned comfort as your guide talks to you about Istanbuls rich history from Byzantine and Ottoman eras to the current day on the way to your first stop.
Hop out of your minivan at Dolmabahe Palace and head inside to explore. The grandiose building was one of the last Ottoman Empire palaces to be built, and its architectural style presents a medley of influences, blending opulent Ottoman and Neoclassical design. Learn about its history while walking amid chandeliers, marble and gilded furnishings.
After your tour of Dolmabahe Palace, travel to the artsy neighborhood of Beyolu where the prestigious Istanbul Modern Art Museum awaits. Focusing on contemporary Turkish artwork, the museum covers two floors of a converted warehouse and is home to an array of temporary exhibitions as well as a cinema and arts library. Learn about the art, and admire highlights such as the permanent art history exhibition.
Then, head out on a walking tour around the Balat area, the cultural heart of Istanbuls Jewish community. Stroll along the streets, and look out for the Ecumencial Orthodox Patriarchate, an intriguing church compound where the ceremonial head of the Greek Orthodox Church is based.
Leave Balat and travel to Rstem Pasha Mosque, one of the citys gems. Small yet spectacular, the mosque boasts an eye-catching interior with incredible tiles that adorn the walls and ceiling. After admiring the interiors, travel onward to Istanbuls Spice Bazaar. Scout out the most interesting stalls to visit, hear bargaining tips, and then bid your guide a fond farewell as your tour finishes.

  • A Super Fantastic Experience We Had In Istanbul. Our Tour Guide Gulay Was Just Brilliant!!! Very Knowledgeable, Which Made This Tour A Big Massive 10/10

  • We had a great time. The palace is beautiful!

  • We enjoyed the small-group tour! Tour guide extensive knowledge added greatly to the tour!

  • Excellent tour. There were only the two of us with a guide. He was knowledgable and had good English.

  • Our guide, Tibet, was enthusiastic, well informed, and lovely to deal with...everything you could ask for from a tour guide. We talked, we laughed and we learned. The Dolmabahce Palace and grounds are stunningly beautiful and not to be missed. The only place that we have ever seen to favourably compare it to is the Palace of Versailles. Tibet also skillfully guided us through the Modern Art Museum and a beautiful little mosque and a Greek Orthodox church. This tour was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. I also must mention how important it was to have a luxury air-conditioned van, with a very skillful driver in heavy traffic, on a hot Autumn day. I would highly recommend this tour package.

  • We had a highly enjoyable afternoon tour, and as we were the only two people on it, we had the undivided attention of our guide. She was extremely knowledgeable and spoke faultless English. The highlight of this tour was undoubtedly the Dolmabahce Palace, which is a stupendous building, full of the most beautiful ceilings and tiles, enormous chandeliers and staircases with amazing glass banisters. We also visited the Istanbul Modern art museum, which was well worthwhile, as the art is very well presented, and the Rustem Pasha mosque, which is an absolute gem with the most perfect blue tiling, and incredibly peaceful despite being very near the very busy waterfront in Eminonu. This was a superb tour and not to be missed.

  • The guide was very knowledgable about the various locations. She was professional and friendly. The Dolmabahce Palace must be seen to be believed. Gorgeous European Palace! Greek Orthodox Church and Pasha Mosque were also beautiful. Enjoyed this tour immensely.
