Know More about this tour

Leave your central Istanbul hotel and travel around the Golden Horn the inlet of the Bosphorus Strait that splits the city onto two continents. Pass through the Jewish quarter of Balat, seeing the distinctive Church Of St Stephen of the Bulgars made entirely of cast iron and admire the Byzantine Walls of Constantinople. Prepare for an assault on your senses as you walk through the Spice Bazaar (also known as the Egyptian Bazaar), admiring stalls pedaling spices, tapestries and just about everything under the sun!
Travel to the waters edge and hop aboard the boat for your Bosphorus sightseeing cruise. Sit back and relax with your camera poised, ready to capture marble palaces sitting cheek-by-jowl with Ottoman-era wooden villas, as well as world-class attractions like Rumeli Fortress, Imperial Gardens of Royal Yildiz Palace and Bosphorus Bridge.
Step back onto dry land and (if time permits) visit one of the citys leading leather showrooms to admire quality leatherwork for which Istanbul is famous. Take a breather over lunch at a traditional Turkish restaurant, and then head to Dolmabahe Palace for your walking tour.
This unbelievably grand building was one of the last Ottoman Empire palaces to be built, and its resulting architectural style is a dazzling mish-mash of influences, blending opulent Ottoman and European Neoclassical architecture with Victorian furnishings. Marvel at the abundance of chandeliers, marble and glistening gilding while exploring with your guide, visiting highlights like the Medhal Hall, Crystal Staircase and the Secretariats Rooms.
After your palace tour, board your coach for a final look at the city. Cross Bosphorus Bridge and travel to either amlca Hill or Yeditepe (depending on traffic conditions on the day) for a birds-eye view of the city.
Your tour finishes back at your central Istanbul hotel in the late afternoon.

Please note: Dolmabahe Palace on Mondays & Thursdays will be replaced with Eyp, Pierre Loti Coffee House and Miniatrk.

  • I had a wonderful day on this tour, I felt like we saw so much. It felt like we spent a lot of time waiting for the bus to pick other people up or drop them off though because the full day tour was combined with the half day tour. I was afraid the cruise would be too cold in the winter but it was quite spacious and warm on the below deck and you could just go to the open upper deck intermittently to take all the pictures you wanted. I really enjoyed to Dolmabahce Palace, it was absolutely beautiful and I absolutely recommend it if you are visiting Istanbul.

  • The guide was informative and the tour was appropriate in length. It was a great way to see Istanbul from the water. The Dolmabahce Palace was great. We have toured several of the great palaces of Europe. It ranks up there with the best of them.

  • The palace is incredible with all the history, the art, and the treasure.

  • Interesting, beautiful view, very knowledgebile Guide, well organized.

  • Excellent tour guide. Very pleasant tour.

  • The trip itself was great, the only snags where that we were a large group of multi nationals speaking different languages. The appointed guide could not cope with the larger numbers and we felt that we were being rushed though all the historic sites and cruise. The tour touched on all the advertised sites, but the transfers between the Asian and European based sites were haphazard and somewhat disorganized. The luncheon served was somewhat below standard. The non use of individual headsets were noticible.

  • Tour was OK however we were disappointed not to be advised that certain parts of it would not be visited due to Ramadan. The date for this event would have been known well in advance and we would have gone to see those items on the days prior to the tour if this had been known.

  • Tour was good, I enjoyed the cruise far more than the rest of the itinerary. Our guide was helpful only when asked a direct question, otherwise he did not offer much information at all.

  • The Tour was really good with the sights you see, Dolmabache Palace was amazing. The fashion show is like oh yeah nothing special. But the part that ruined the entire tour was at the end of the day cause the driver didnt want to drive through the traffic he started just dumping us at locations near the hotel, saying just walk that way and youll see your hotel, Thankyou for just dropping me off in a random location and allowing me to have to try and find my way back to the hotel when you picked me up from my hotel door to begin with!
