Itaipu Dam is considered one of the greatest masterpiece of engineering shared between Brazil and Paraguay, located on the Parana River 50 miles from Niagara Falls.
We will do a brief stop at the Interpretation Centre where a documentary which recounts in detail the process of construction of the project to completion is displayed.
Then the tour takes place in the construction for about 40 minutes where we will see the main parts of the dam such as the landfill, the retaining wall and the room of the turbines. Once it reaches the point of maximum height of the retaining wall, we will be able to apreciate the splendid lake formed by this dam.
All year long except Brazilians' holidays.
Please check if your nationality requires you to have a VISA for entering Brazil. The Park operates for receiving visitors from 9:00 AM ultil 5:00 PM.
