  • This was first class, lovely guide who took us to a traditional Sicillian restaurant where we tried a selection of local wines a delicacies with some expert information about each one. After a short walk through the town we were treated to some stunning arias, sung exquisitely and expertly with so much emotion. During the interval we were treated to a glass of bubbly on the roof terrace, nice touch. Recommend!

  • Opera part good. Wine tasting was a long non event.

  • The tour started with a wine tasting in a local restaurant. The host at the restaurant was very welcoming and was an experienced sommelier who was passionate about the local wines. The wines came with some food as well - things like bruschetta topped with anchovies or parma ham and cheese with local honey. We stayed there for approx 1.5 hours and then went to the opera which was very central. The opera had a selection of songs sung by very talented singers ad was a great introduction to opera if you don't know much about it. I got the impression from the write up that we would also be shown around Taormina on the way, but we didn't really have any explanation of the place, although we did get to have a nice chat to the tour guide. I would recommend this tour and definitely glad I chose it. Made friends with the other 2 couples on the tour too and had a lovely procecco on the balcony during the interval.

  • On ringing the tour operator the day before as requested, we found the start time was to be 45 minutes earlier than the time stated. The walk to the wine tasting was short, convenient to the tour meeting point. We were offered three wines to taste, two white and one red. We were given a little information about each and a delicious variety of finger foods to accompany the wine. The walk to the theatre for the Italian opera was a fair distance away but this was not a problem. On arriving we had to wait quite a time before entering the building and then even longer inside, this was a shame and could have been avoided if the start time had not been put forward. The music was good and entertaining. The prosecco and nibbles outside on the terrace overlooking Taormina, at the interval, were enjoyable.

  • This was a very personalized and enjoyable evening. Our guide walked us around and was very personable. The wine tasting was suburb and the opera performance was intimate and captivating. My wife and I enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone who wants a memorable experience.

  • A fun low-pressure evening

  • The wine tasting was very unorganized and the restaurant was totally unprepared for us. We sat and sat and then had to hurry to the opera performance.
    The opera was very good.
We wasted 60 on the so called wine tasting experience and should have just bought tickets to hear the opera

  • The whole experience was brilliant and I would recommend it to anyone who has the slightest love of music or wine. The theatre was small and intimate and gave the performance a very personal feel. The wine tasting was a pleasure to the senses .
The only t to be aware of is the distance between the two venues it can be hard for anyone who has difficulty walking far but the effort is well worth it.

  • Expected more from wine-tasting. Just drank 3 different wines.
Opera was a great experience ! Intermezzo with bubbles and a wonderful view !

  • The Opera was fantastic, the Soprano, Tenor and Maestro on the Piano were wonderful. However the wine tasting and appetizers were forgetable. It was in a very busy restaraunt and ths owner who was doing the wine tasting was busy with customers, felt like we were thd unwanted step child.
