Know More about this tour

Following a pick-up service from your hotel in Krabi, transfer to Phang Nga Bay by air-conditioned minivan to discover the famous filming locations of “The Man With the Golden Gun” in Phang Nga Bay.

Phang Nga Bay found its way onto the tourist map through its starring role in the James Bond movie starring Roger Moore as 007, and is distinctive for its sheer limestone cliffs that jut vertically out of the crystal emerald-green water.

Climb aboard a traditional longtail boat at Tadan Pier near Phang Nga Town and voyage over to James Bond Island. Discover the famous Khao Phing Kan, a very high leaning rock with tiny caves, where you can find stalls selling souvenirs mostly made from beautiful shells and wood. Walk around the James Bond Island and take a photo of Koh Tapu (also known as Nail Island or Spike Island). The limestone rock is around 20 meters tall with a diameter ranging from about 4 meters at the bottom and up to 8 meters at the top (hence the name of nail island).

Continue to Thalu Island, where you can take a guided kayak tour along the mangrove river and the giant stalactites caves & limestone cliffs (please book the kayak option). If canoeing isn’t your thing you can just enjoy the sights that James Bond Island and its surroundings has to offer!

Panyee floating village is where you will stop for lunch. The natural island of Panyee is a towering vertical mass of limestone. Nearly all of the village sits atop a huge network of stilts that clings to the edge of the island’s coastline and stretches out over the sea in a maze of raised platforms and walkways.

Cruise slowly back to the pier and visit Wat Suwan Kuha Temple, also known as “Monkey Cave”. Make a last stop at Raman Waterfalls on your adventure. A place with an abundance of flora and fauna such as monkeys, deers, squirrels and birds.

Conclude your tour back in your centrally located hotel where you can make a great conclusion to an unforgettable day.

  • This tour was amazing!

  • The whole tour was amazing...As we stayed in Railay no pickup service was there, so we reached late.. luckily the local tour operator was still expecting us... I spent the bus journey happily talking with fellow passengers and informing them about the places to cover...the longtail was good enough..and the journey was mesmerizing !! Phang Nga Bay can be memorized for the lifetime... Little more time than 40 mins could be better in James Bond Island..Kayaking trip is a must under the stalactite sea caves... Astoundingly beautiful Ko Panyee island offered the best food of my whole Thailand Trip..monkey Cave temple has a lot of secrets,,finally the waterfall inside the jungle completed all my wishes from this wonderful country... THanks a lot to VIATOR,, !!

  • This is a must do!!! Fantastic!

  • As a James bond fan , I loved it.but would of liked to have stayed longer

  • Perfect trip - Starting from the comfortable travel coach to the river boats - the food on the floating village, all were just simply too good.: Very relaxing trip and well managed. The guide was simply cheerful and helpful all throught. Only bad part was the kayaking guys asking for 100baht as a tip, before they drop you back to the floating pierthese guys are not affiliated to the tour company, hence can't complain. James bond island usually is very crowded. The monkey temple was very peaceful. All together a must, if you staying at krabi:

  • Tour was good and informative, albeit a bit of a journey from Krabi, mostly by car 2 hours. The boat ride to the island itself was only 30 minutes. JBI was not what I imagined: very small and super crowded with vendors. But I got to check off a travel item and despite the crowds I got good, unobstructed photos. The tour itself was fine, lunch was great and plentiful. We got drenched on the boat, the water was a bit rough but it was sunny and hot that day so it wasn't a big deal. Recommended.

  • Exhilarating trip by speed boat. Lovely islands. Canoeing under the rocks was so exiting. The tour was well organized. We were picked up on time at our hotel. The tour guide was extremely friendly. Highly recommend it.

  • Awesome experience in visiting the Island, and very nice lunch at a decent restaurant. When most of the tourists in the group were canoeing, we could get a good chance to go sightseeing on the boat around. Besides, the monkey cave is also interesting, too. On the whole, it worth for the price.

  • james bond island looked more like a trinket island, the land area covered by sand is less than the land area covered by stalls selling trinkets and tourist-y souvenirs. canoeing? with hundreds of tourists and the paid canoe-ers asking for tips for bringing you on vip routes? nah..

the only redemption was the lunch. lunch was great. you rarely go wrong finding good food in thailand to begin with.

  • Itinerary does not mention clearly whether canoeing is included or excluded. The canoeing is a must do however. Tour guide was asking me to pay the National park entrance fee, even though it was included in the trip fare. He had to check with the tour company to confirm. Overall, could do with some better co-ordination.
