This should be a requirement for all that visit Yangon. I can't believe I waited almost a year since arriving in this beautiful city to do this! This was so fantastic. Included amazing breakfast food, rich history lessons and a 101 class on traditional market shopping. I learned about all the vegetables I constantly see and didn't know what they were or how to cook them. Highlights: a 45 year old bakery and their coconut pastries, traditional Burmese tea and tea leaf salad at a tea house, coconut grinding for flour and cream in the wet market. Now we cant wait to do the evening tour. 10 stars! *We went with my 3 year old and she loved it as well and could easily keep up!

Had the best morning with MiMi around the markets and local food joints of Yangon. She was a fantastic guide and seemed very happy to share her knowledge about food and Burmese life. The food was amazing, and catered for our food needs (shellfish allergy), and we really enjoyed eating and engaging with the local people of Yangon. Recommend to everyone, and definitely pace yourself - plenty of food!!

We had. great morning with Marc wandering round the narrow streets and back allleys of downtown Yangon and stopping at food stalls, tea shops, hole-in-the-wall restaurants and market stands. We ate so much good food! Pastries, sticky rice, mohinga, tea leaf salad, shan noodles, fresh coconut milk, sweet Myanmar tea. These are all really typical Myanmar foods, you see them on the streets all the time. But for most of us we never dare to try, or don’t know what it is we should be ordering. Marc rolls all these experiences into a great tour. He’s fun to be with, treats the shop and stall owners as friends, and knows a lot about the food and the culture. We even learnt about some of the buildings we were passing, and the history that’s taken place there It helps that Marc is a chef, has lived in Yangon a long while, and speaks the language. His colleagues are really skilled too, so either way you’ll pick up a lot of local knowledge. My advice: pace yourself! The food is so good and you just can’t eat it all!! I seriously recommend you do this tour!

Such a great way to experience more of the local cuisines in a totally relaxed but interesting and informative way. Be warned you’ll need to pace yourself food wise as it’s plentiful and all super delicious so tempting to eat too much too early! Really loved the opportunity to experience a more local insight and get to ask questions about way more than just food. Highly recommended

We had a great time with our guide Joe. We went to all traditional locations, like a thea-house and could taste every traditional food. salads, different shan-noodles. And had the chance to look into the kitchens etc I can really recommend that tour.

As a resident of Yangon, I went on this tour myself a few years ago and LOVED it. I have since booked the tour for my visitors as well and they like it as much as I do. It's a great way to see downtown Yangon and really get a feel for local life. The food is so delicious and the restaurants that have been chosen are clean- you don't have to worry about an upset stomach!

*The best tour I've ever had in 35+ countries. As a seasoned traveler, I make a point to seek out local guides and experiences wherever I go. Sa Ba was the perfect choice and our guide, Kyaw, was truly the best guide I've ever had anywhere in the world. Kyaw was thoughtful with his approach to the scheduled route, accommodating by making detours to seek specific souvenirs or goods, and considerate of food allergies & preferences during both of our DELICIOUS meals (breakfast & lunch). My group of three paid a small extra to have Kyaw and the driver pick us up and drop us off at our hotel, which was definitely worth it. The car was AC'd which was a big deal! We began our tour at 8:00 AM and by 9:30 AM, my friends and I commented that even if the tour ended after the 90-minute mark we would feel totally satisfied with the experience. The fact that we had all day, until 2:00 PM, was a dream. We travel to Yangon for work and anticipate returning next year and will definitely be booking additional tours with Sa Ba and Kyaw. Note: wear full coverage shoes (no sandals, slides, & definitely not heals) on this tour as you get all up in there at the fish market!

Super-recomendable.

A terrific morning learning about Yangon's street food scene and markets. Met fun people, enjoyed delicious, diverse food, and learned a ton from our knowledgeable guides. Highly recommend!

Kyaw, our guide gave an excellent overview of the food and culture of Myanmar. We visited little restaurants, strolled through a morning market, and sat on tiny plastic chairs. Kyaw showed us how to eat all the delicious dishes and gave us in-depth explanations on everything we wanted to know, always friendly, fun, and very knowledgeable. This morning has been a fantastic experience. Thank you and well done!
