Overview

Kamikochi is renowned as the Mecca of hiking in Japan. Located in Nagano, this region is abundant with high altitude mountains and world famous ski resorts. This mountain scenery in the Northern Alps is like nowhere else in Japan. The low altitude terrain flourishes with snowmelt feeding the flora and fauna, creating crystal clear streams, waterfalls, and swamps.
Our aim is to summit the highest peaks in the Alps. Our path through the sky follows 3000 meter high open mountain ridges that connect the peaks with endless 360 degree views. This hike makes the most of the Alps in these warmer months when the weather is balmy.
We will be traveling lightweight by staying in mountain lodges. These world class facilities are comfortable and provide freshly cooked meals, while providing a space to meet other hikers and learn from your guide. You will be among the few international visitors to experience the spectacular alpine hiking.
