Overview

Mount Kanchenjunga (8586 m.) is the third highest mountain in the world and the second highest peak in Nepal. It is located in the extreme northeast corner of Nepal bordering Sikkim (an Indian State) to the east and China to the north. This trek is one of the most adventurous of all the routes offered. The trek begins at Tumlingtar or Taplejung accessible by air, or Ilam or Basantpur accessible by road. Soaring peaks, the Yalung Glacier and a wide variety of natural vegetation and agricultural areas can be seen in this region.

Itinerary:

Day 01: Fly from Kathmandu to Bhadrapur morning 10 am. It takes around 45 min. Same day jeep drive to Ilam, it takes around Seven hours and stay overnight at Ilam.  

Day 02: Drive from Ilam to Suketar, Taplejung, via Panch Thar, it takes around eight hours.

Day 03: Trek from Suketar (2300m.) to Kunjari (1928m.) which takes about seven hours. 

Day 04: Trek from Kunjari to Mamangkhe (1920m) and it takes about seven hours. 

Day 05: Trek from Mamangkhe to Yamphudin (2080m.) Bhote Gaun, which takes approximately five hours.

Day 06: Trek from Yamphudin to Omje khola (2460m) which takes about six hours. 

Day 07: Trek from Amjekhola to Torontan (2890m.) and it takes approximately five and half hours. 

Day 08: Trek from Toronde to Tserma (3870m.) which takes approximately five hours. 

Day 09: Trek from Tserma to Ramche (4580m.) and it takes approximately six hours. 

Day 10: Trek from Ramche to Yalung B.c.(5400m) which takes about six and half hours. 

Day 11: Trek from Yalung Bc.to Ramche (4580m.) which takes approximately six and half hours. 

Day 12: Trek from Ramche to Toronde (2890m) and it takes about six and half hours. 

Day 13: Trek from Toronde to Amjekhola (2460m.) which takes about six and half hours.

Day 14: Trek from Amjekhola to Yamphudin (2080m.) which takes about four and half hours. 

Day 15: Trek from Yamphudin to Mamangkhe and it takes about five and half hours. 

Day 16: Trek from Mamangkhe to Keswa (2120m.) which takes about seven hours.

Day 17: Trek from Keswa to Suketar (2300m.) and it takes about seven hours. 

Day 18: Drive from Suketar to Ilam. Stay overnight at Ilam.

Day 19: Drive from Ilam to Bhadrapur. It takes around eight hours than same day fly back to Kathmandu by Yeti air at 3 Pm.
