This tour takes you to the inspiring red-hued sedimentary rock domes of Kata Tjuta (the Olgas) to watch the sunset. They are thought to have originally been one huge piece of rock, much like Uluru, that has weathered over millions of years to become an intriguing series of individual formations. Your Driver Guide will explain along the way the geological and cultural history of the area. Absorb the unique flora and admire the powerful domes of Kata Tjuta while you take in a magnificent outback sunset with canaps and Australian wines.

  • Snacks and Beverages included

  • Informative, friendly and professional guide

This was an amazing trip. The scenery was just outstanding, the sunset amazing, the food really good and the Driver/Guide (Jack) was so knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed this trip in the off road vehicle and would recommend it to everyone.

Watching the changing colours and fiery red of the rocks. The excellent guide/driver who was very informative and pleasant. His assistant was very friendly and lively and the drinks and canapes were excellent.

I booked this tour for a family getaway after my dad passed away. On the day before the tour I received a notification from Viator saying pick up time was 5pm. The tour has already left at 4.30pm. I am so saddened and disappointed that Viator refused any refund whatsoever. They also went into my booking and removed the 5pm pickup time. Very deceitful. Thank goodness I kept a screenshot of the pick up time reminder of 5pm and will be taking the matter further.

The overall experience of being in close proximity of the famous Kata Tjinta rock formations. The beautiful sunset, and the awesome bus trip to get there. A dream realised.

Unhappy about the lack of organisation for pickup. Too many people. Desert gardens is the last pickup.

After a long day of travel from Canberra to Uluru on a cold grey day we were not expecting much of a sunset, but boy, were we given a show when the sun came out just as we were having our drinks in front of Kata Tjuta. A truly magical experience, and my favourite of our trip. AAT Kings put on a great spread as well as providing excellent guides and drivers - thanks Beatrice and Lucy!

Great tour , great guides , great driver - Damian and Linda. Very patient with some late passages, and people who forgot National park tickets! Very knowledgeable and generous with their knowledge. Would use AATKINGS again
