Waimea Canyon, The Grand Canyon of the Pacific, is the showpiece of the tour and offers one of the best views of the western coast of the island.

  • Informative, friendly and professional guide
  • Perfect introduction for first-time visitors

Know More about this tour

Explore the natural wonders of Kauai on this 5-hour shore excursion from Nawiliwili Harbor visit Waimea Canyon and see Spouting Horn. At 14 miles long (22.5 kilometers), 1 mile (1.6 kilometers) wide and more than 3,600 feet (1,097 meters) deep, Waimea Canyon is the largest canyon in the Pacific and a true geologic gem. The Waimea Canyon Lookout provides breathtaking views of deep valleys and rugged crags. As you hike, numerous lookouts and trails offer spectacular views of every part of the canyon.

After exploring the wonders of Waimea Canyon, youll take a visual tour of Kauai, driving past Old Koloa Town, Hawaiis first sugarcane plantation, and Waimea, the town where Captain Cook made his first landing in Hawaii in 1778.

Finish your day exploring another of Kauais natural wonders at Spouting Horn, an ocean blow hole near Poipu Beach. Wait as the water rushes under a lava shelf and surges through a small opening at the surface, spewing water up to 50 feet (15 meters) in the air. Next to the adjacent hole, compressed air escapes and makes a hissing sound.

We got to see a section of Kauai on the way to Waimea Canyon. The canyon is beautiful. The driver shared information about Kauai and the people that live here. It was a great excursion. Kauai was a cruise stop for us.

Great half day tour round Kaua'i which I think was my favourite island, very green. Our guide who I think was called Leone was lovely, funny and informative. The spouting horn was excellent and of course the canyon was amazing. We'd been to the Grand Canyon the week before and yes this one is smaller but prettier as its less dry. We also enjoyed some local shopping and a precarious rope bridge at one of the local towns. Much better value for cruise ship passengers than those organised by the cruise company for the same thing. Defo recommend.

Absolutely loved this!! Waimea Canyon was beautiful as was the Spouting Horn. The tour guide offered lots of commentary and interesting information. He obviously really loves Kauai and wanted us to know about its rich history and to see its beauty for ourselves.

The big bus picked up our group at the cruise terminal. Tino, a retired US serviceman was our driver/ guide. If you closed your eyes, you might think that Sean Connery was driving the bus with the way he spoke. He was very precise and informative with his narrative. We first visited the spout and then the Kauai coffee company. The highlight of the tour was a visit to the Waimea canyon. This is a good half day tour to book for cruise ship passengers.

It was a very nice experience. The canyon was the highlight and with seeing it. The colors were vibrant.

My wife and I had never visited Waimea Canyon in the few times we visited Kauwai. Why did we wait so long! It was such a beautiful tour with a great tour guide/driver, Michelle. Great narration all along the way to Waimea. Stunning views, plenty of time to explore the blow horn, and the canyon. She even made a surprise stop on Kauwai Coffee estate because everyone was back on the bus in timely manner. SO...it pays to respect your fellow tour guests and be on time. Enjoy the tour and thanks, Michelle!

Waimea Canyon was absolutely stunning!!! The bus tour we took was very informative and a lot of fun!

  • 02-Aug-2019

Enjoyed the descriptions by the driver. Very personable and knowledgeable. Hard to describe all of the beauty of the canyon. Took many pictures, but they do not do justice to what we saw. .

  • 15-Jul-2019

The canyon is beautiful as is the whole island but our guide Tino was hard to put up with. He talked way too much about himself and his family and had an arrogant attitude.
