Know More about this tour

Upon departure from select Orlando hotels, your driver-guide will provide you with a wealth of information and knowledge to ensure you make the best use of your free time at the facility.

When you arrive at Kennedy Space Center, you will be met by an astronaut for a complimentary welcome presentation. Following this, you can join your driver-guide on a walk through of the Space Shuttle Atlantis building. It is the only shuttle on display in flight mode with its bay doors open and it has many interactive exhibits that are fun for all ages. There are simulators where you can try landing the space shuttle or for the young (or young at heart) you can slide down the glide incline slide!

After this, your day at Kennedy Space Center is self-guided at your leisure. There are many attractions but some favorites are:
  • Shuttle Launch Experience which lets you feel like you are riding in the Space Shuttle on a mission to outer space. This simulator experience feels as close to riding the orbiter as possible so the astronauts say!
  • The NASA Bus tour takes guests from the Visitor Center and onto NASA restricted property. Take a NASA bus for a drive-by view of a launch pad and then experience the historic Apollo 8 launch site and marvel at a massive 363-foot-long Saturn V moon rocket at the Apollo/Saturn V Center
  • IMAX movies. Two incredible 3D IMAX® movies capture the mystery and majesty of space with actual footage filmed by astronauts and breathtaking celestial images captured by the Hubble Space Telescope.
In addition to all the above, you can also choose an additional package option:

  • Kennedy Space Center and Airboat Tour - in the afternoon you will head over to St. Johns River, for a 30-minute high-speed airboat ride. This is a great way to take in some of the areas unique flora and fauna and perhaps spot an American Alligator!
  • The Dine with an Astronaut program is a buffet lunch experience hosted by a NASA Astronaut. The Astronaut of the day usually gives a short presentation about their experiences before opening the floor for questions. A very unique dining experience.
  • Ultimate Space Experience is the tour for people wanting to have a slightly more in-depth knowledge of the facility and includes the Dine with an Astronaut luncheon. After lunch you embark on a guided bus tour of Up-Close NASA facilities. Although this bus tour is subject to changes, you can often see the Space Shuttle Launch Pads, Vehicle Assembly Buildings, Crawler Transporters & more! This is a 90-minute in-depth tour.
  • If you already have your tickets and you don't fancy the hour drive, book the Transportation Only option. Departures from Central Florida leave at around 8.35am to journey over to the space center and en-route the driver-guide will provide you lots of insight and tips!

  • Oustanding! Several visits required to see everything. Money well-spent.

  • Kennedy Space Center was awesome! We had lunch with an astronaut and it was very interesting. We would recommend this for adults and older children!!

  • This was one of our highlights of our USA holiday. Unbelievable experience comes to mind to describe this tour. We meet, spoke and had a photo with an astronaut. Saw one of the launch sites and the memorial for the lost astronauts was very impressive. Getting up close of a shuttle was pretty great as well. If you are into the space program this is a tour you must do if you are in Florida.

  • Kennedy space centre is an amazing experience, the bus trip is not.
Six hours on a bus not much fun, if you have your own car drive yourself.
The Everglades experience is a ripoff no enthusiasm from was disappointing as I was looking forward to this experience.
Communication poor from This company, phoned twice the day before to see if we could drive ourselves, they did not phone back.
    Stay away from this tour

  • This tour is really just transportation to and admission into the Kennedy Space Center. The Space center is a don't miss sight but I spent an extra hour on the bus picking people up at various locations. I would find out the last pick up location and go there instead of riding around on the bus. Once at the Space Center, don't miss the Apollo/Saturn V facilities. You'll have to take a shuttle bus to take you around the launch pads and the Apollo facilities.

  • Really amazing experience. Highly recommend for family with kids. If you have time go for 2 days. Booked the tour with gray line coaches they were amazing. The guide / driver Pete was extra ordinary. He was highly knowledgeable.

  • Great destination -- lots to see and do! -- and a good bus trip there and back also. Would and #39;ve loved to have more time but that would entail a really early departure from Orlando. Highly recommend the behind-the-scenes tour. Less enthralled by the lunch with an astronaut but still good.

  • I wasn't entirely sure what to expect when I arrived at Kennedy ... but I can tell you that it was amazing. We received really good advice from our driver from Orlando to Kennedy, Mike. We learned as we left for the day that the average number of visitors was one to three thousand. We were among fifty thousand people there that day. Mike recommended to leave Heroes and Legends for the last. Good advice, because it was both incredibly crowded for most of the day. It was also the perfect note to end the day on. And be prepared to blink back tears on more than one occasion. Not tears of sadness or grief, necessarily, but more tears of joy and pride.

  • We loved this tour. We made the arrangements from California it was easy to navigate the Web site and book our tour. VIATOR kept us informed and they sent us a couple of reminders, which gave us a lot of comfort. Everything we arranged happened at the right place and at the right time. We won't hesitate to use Viator again.
