Experience the most Kilauea Volcano has to offer! Explore the Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park with an intimate size group and then travel down to the Puna Coast to view what the lava has done on the active side of Kilauea Volcano. Once you arrive at the park, an experienced guide will lead you on short leisurely hikes through lush rainforests alive with native birds, incredible foliage and a walk through lava tube. Explore hidden overlooks off the beaten path and witness the explosive power of Halemaumau Crater.

You will then travel down to the Red Road in the Puna district where the scenery is amazing as you weave through the rainforest and take in the jagged cliffs overlooking the crystal blue waters of the Pacific Ocean. Walk out to the new black sand beach at Kaimu, which has forever been changed by the lava flows in the early 1990s. Taking the road less traveled, you will witness firsthand the creation and devastation the lava has brought to this area over the last 50 years villages destroyed and new land created.Depending on the volcanic activity at the time of the tour, we will try to locate flow or glow either at the coast or with a trip up to Halemaumau Crater. Experience the unique sights that most travelers never see on their own or with other tour companies!

    Enjoyable long day we were based in Hilo, so the return was only 1 hour from end tour, If ur staying other side of island, be prepared for a very long day!!! As mentioned decent tour, we and another couple were the only one's on the mini bus. The morning 1st guide, she was fantastic and enjoyed all the included offers. The second guide we meet mid afternoon for afternoon and early evening, nice guy, just wished he didnt talk so much, we are well healed travelers and why of why do some guide's talk us to near death. The other couple asked him about him!!!! OMG 2 hours later, still went on. must be a US thing!!! or we Brits, like a little less rattle lol. The Sunset Lava Walk ABOVE what happend to that!!! the 2nd guide, he advised we / no one does this type of tour!!!!! Strange, That was reason we booked this, for a 2 day in 1 full day. Thou we did get chance to see the glow. Would I book this again with the costs, NO, possible rent a car, thou like us 1st time, not everyone wants to drive.
