Know More about this tour

The KL Tower (aka the Menara Kuala Lumpur) is one of the most iconic sights in Kuala Lumpur and is visible from most parts of the city. It's one of the world’s tallest telecommunications towers, a major tourist destination and a popular venue for special occasions.

The tower sits on a hill, making it appear taller than the city's famous Petronas Towers; KL Tower measures 1,381 feet (421 meters) high while the Petronas Towers measures 1,483 feet (452 meters). With your admission ticket, you may visit whenever you wish during operating hours. Perhaps go to watch the sunset and see lights come on across the sprawling city below.

When booking, choose from the following two admission options.

KL Tower Observation Deck:
After arriving at KL Tower, take one of the high-speed elevators up to the fully enclosed Observation Deck, located 905 feet (276 meters) above ground level. The deck circles the entire tower, providing panoramic views of Kuala Lumpur.

KL Tower Observation Deck, XD Theater and Open Deck:
Upgrade your admission to include all of the above plus a ticket to the Open Deck, which perches at the top of the tower, 1,381 feet (421 meters) above the ground. The open-air deck offers a spectacular perspective of the Kuala Lumpur skyline, with views that extend to the Genting Highlands, Pahang and South China Sea.

  • This was excellent and we were very happy to do this tour instead of the Petronas Time constraint. Incidentally, we took the decision only after reading a review in Viator only. Thanks for that,

  • Excellent tour, specially if you have lunch on the Tower! :-D

  • we really enjoyed this experience and the wonderful views over the city. We had a sky deck ticket .The only problem we encountered was the qeues for the photos to be taken on the glass floor. Eventually we asked to pass through to the other side. If you want the photo be prepared for a long wait and if you don't want a photo be brave and ask to cross through to the far side. We got caught in a thunderstorm and had to retire to the enclosed deck. The view here are great too. Enjoy a coffee or a drink in the restaurant on the open deck.

  • Excellent views of the city and chance to look from the glass floor area too

  • Well worth the extra money to the top observation deck although a little hazy this time of year.

  • Worth the money for a 360 degree view of the city.

  • It was really nice to see the city from so high above. When I arrived, I was prompted to purchase and additional pass to the open deck, which I had already purchased. I quickly redirected them and was given the appropriate tickets.

  • An enjoyable experience. Only change to recommend would be clarifying the additional cost to go to the lookout level. You need to go to the lookout level. The ticket being open-ended for the day makes it easier to suit your itinerary not have to rush to a deadline. The tower is better than the Petronas Twin Towers as there are a lot less people

  • This tour was amazing!

  • Unfortunately the evening we did this tour there was a lot of low cloud/fog resulting in poor visibility. The glass boxes were fun, and a good opportunity for photos - only 3 people allowed at a time. There were photographers all over the tower - at the entry taking welcome photos and on each level. Some photos were able to be superimposed onto lovely backgrounds of the KL skyline and KL Tower. I would suggest taking the Hop on Hop off bus to the KL Tower, it would be a difficult walk with children. Overall the observation deck was OK, a little expensive for what you got.
