Know More about this tour

Come with us on a journey back to the times when Kraków’s Main Market Square was called Adolf Hitler Platz and the city itself was called not Kraków but Krakau. Find yourself in a kind of 3D cinema where everything is designed to make you feel, hear and even smell the history of Kraków during the Second World War.

Walk among the city’s inhabitants on the cobbled streets of wartime Kraków, feel overwhelmed by the omnipresent existence of the enemy, enter narrow passages and overpopulated apartments in the ghetto, find weapons in a resistance house, feel the horror of being imprisoned and interrogated, try to imagine your life in hiding and finally feel the bittersweet joy of being liberated by the Soviet army.

This will be, in a word, an emotional journey through lives of Kraków’s citizens under the Nazi occupation. Be with them from the beginning, through the 1,968 days of the occupation. We will tell you their stories, and also share some of the ones told to us by our parents and grandparents. We hope that, as with us, they will stay with you forever.

Goosebumps and chills guaranteed!

Visit the best historical museum in Poland with us, and forget for a time about your life here and now. Hear about the war in the country where it started. Enter Kraków as it was more than 70 years ago!

  • Really enjoyed this - the guide, Jacek, was amazing! So full of knowledge and a tempered enthusiasm that suited whereabouts we were on the tour and what was being discussed. Would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this tour.

  • Excellent guide , explained in detailed . It would be too hard t go to factory without a tour , its very overwhelming . Our guide explained all the highlights of the factory .

  • Would have liked a bit more time there. The guide was very good.

  • The tour guide was excellent but the Schindler's Factory was not what I had expected: a much more history of the city and a less history of the factory.

  • Very good guide Jerry with perfect English, lots of information, small group, you don't learn much if you don't take a guide because there's not much info given in the museum, the guide tells you little bits and pieces. I strongly recommend watching Schindler's List movie beforehand. The museum is set really well.

  • Very interesting, suggestive and well documented. The guide, Dominica, was amazing. She managed to share with us a lot of interesting things in a short time. Because 1 h and 40 min is not enough for all the Factory. Her English if perfect. We strongly recommend a guided tour because the written explanations near the photos and other exhibits are not at all enough. Even the name is Schindler's Factory, there is not much to learn about Schindler its self, but about the life in Krakow in those days.

  • A bit disapointed with this tour. The guide was great and very knowledgable. However it was misleading in as much as we thought we were going to see Schindler's factory when actually only a couple of rooms remain and almost no original fittings. It is actually a museum tour of Krakow during the war years. This is actually fascinating and well worth the trip, you just feel a little bit let down when you expect one thing and get another.

  • Excellent tour. Very comprehensive and the guide Pawel was extremely knowledgable about his subject. He definitely gave the whole event a real dimension and was amazingly educational. I would strongly recommend this tour and the guide in particular.

  • It shouldn't be called the factory tour as the factory has been demolished. It's really a museum full of interesting relics from the Nazi occupation. Sets a more balanced history of Schindler than the film.

  • This is not a tour based on Schindler. There's no glorifying of any of the SS. Instead, it's a story of the lives of the Krakow people - before, during and after the Germans invaded their country. It's an important and interesting tour to visit. The guide herself was excellent and passionate about her job. An eye opener. Would advise doing this tour before Auschwitz to get the full effect
