  • Yes we got to see pandas, children training for Kungfu and visited a temple in the mountains but this trip bore little resemblance to the description on line. I researched all the available trips and this seemed a little different. We were picked up at the hotel by our guide in a comfortable private car but he didn't really seem to know what tour we were on. He made a call to the owner and we kind of sorted it. The owner advised going to see the Kungfu master first which turned out to be a summer school for children learning Kungfu - no master to be seen. We decided to leave and head to the Panda centre. We saw adolescent pandas but when I asked about the babies and adults I was told that experience was only available at the Panda Centre closer to the city - the trip description clearly states that the guide will take you through the various stages and explain the programme - nope none of that just a wonder round and look. I wonder if this was because we told him we were not interested in the extra payment to feed or hold pandas which he thought we were. There was no cable car ride to a temple or cups of tea with the monks. The owner explained that as they are so many temples it is not possible to know where the Kungfu master might be. It needs to be clearly stated in the inclusions the you may see a Kungfu master if he's in town- you will get a chance to see a temple but which on is uncertain. Our guide did drive us further up to the temple so we did not have to climb all the stairs, The guide was also very worried abut lunch as there are only local places and he thought we would want something Western. This the first Viatort that did not deliver,
