Stop At: Rainforestation Nature Park, Kuranda, Queensland

The award-winning Rainforestation Nature Park is a 100 acre (40 hectare) tourist attraction set in the midst of World Heritage Rainforest. 30 minutes from Cairns and 5 minutes from Kuranda Village, the park is locally owned and operated by the Woodward family.
Board an amphibious World War II Army Duck for a unique rainforest tour on both land and water, where your guide will identify and explain fascinating plants and wildlife as you pass by. Then check out the Tropical Fruits Orchard, with over 40 different species of exotic tropical fruit trees.
Learn about indigenous culture with the interactive Pamagirri Aboriginal Experience. Watch a traditional dance performance in a rainforest amphitheatre, then join the Dreamtime Walk which includes boomerang throwing, spear-throwing and didgeridoo playing.
The Koala and Wildlife Park has native Australian species such as crocodiles, wombats, dingoes, snakes, lizards, and the cassowary. View the only Tasmanian Devils in North Queensland, handfeed kangaroos and wallabies, or have your photo taken cuddling a cute koala or holding a small crocodile.
Enjoy a fantastic Buffet lunch or snack in the licensed restaurants with much variety of meals to choose from. There is the Tropical Treats Juice Bar for fruits, ice creams and fresh juices.

Best day ever, great train ride, wonderful Skyride. Kuranda was great, went on Army Duck tour which was super experience. The Aboriginal and wildlife center great.Lovely shops and market and places to Eat. Leave yourself around 4- 5 hours for whole day so not rushing. Definatly recommend and would do trip again.

The pass includes everything you'd want to see. The park is great, they'll set up your schedule to make sure you see everything within your own schedule. The one thing they don't tell you is that there is a shuttle that takes you from Kuranda to the park which is about 12pp round trip that you have to pay. So make sure to consider the additional price when buying this deal.

The park is ok, the duck boats are not worth doing.

Compact rainforest. Aboriginal experience was fab- dancing, didgeridoos, boomerangs and spear throwing! Army DUKW tour with very knowledgeable guide. I CUDDLED A KOALA (which you can only do in Queensland as they are not endangered there). Saw a huge croc and petted a kangaroo. Brilliant day out :).

I booked my train ride to/ from Kuranda on-line, outside this package. The train ride from Cairns to Kuranda is awesome. Struggled with information on how to get from the Kuranda Train Station to the Kuranda Rainforestation which is outside/ bus ride from the little town of Kuranda. Information showed be added in the details of this package to help consumers understand that they have to take a bus from the train station to the town and another bus from the town to the Kuranda Rainforest. We lost some of the time we needed to enjoy this full package by trying to understand how to get to the Rainforest destination.
