  • Petra is a great guide!! I came to Prague specifically to go to the bone church and was not disappointed! This trip was well organized and included some other fun sights as well. Definitely recommend it!

  • I took a girlfriend of mine on the Kutna Hora tour for her birthday during our most recent trip to Prague. Petra was a great guide, had tons of information and took time to include each member of the group. Petra was also very thoughtful to coordinate with the restaurant and surprise my friend with a gluten-free friendly birthday treat when we stopped for afternoon lunch. From the fascinating information shared by Petra I am now determined to make another trip to Kutna Hora to see more sights the town has to offer.

  • Firstly, I want to say that Colorado Dave the guide was not at fault for how this tour turned out. It was the fault of whoever the operations manager is. We had 47 people to one guide. We were jostled through the city, crammed onto public transport, jostled through the teeny tiny space of Sedlec Ossuary, rushed through the rest of Kutna Hora, and then crammed onto public transport back home. I have to give credit to Colorado Dave - he really tried his best and I think it was incredibly unfair of the company to have put him in the position that he was in. A company that is willing to do that is not customer - focused, and seems to be more than happy to sacrifice customer experience and happiness to make a quick buck.

  • The Kutna Hora Day Tour is a great way to spend part of a long visit to Prague! It is a wonderful opportunity to see a smaller town in the Czech Republic.

  • Honestly, this was one of the worst tours we've ever taken through Viator. From the absurdly compressed schedule to the curt borderline rude tour guide to the massive tour group 50 people!!! to the overall lack of information at the locations, this is one we'd highly recommend staying away from.

To elaborate: this tour relies on public transportation and, as such, is subject to train schedules. It starts way too late 11 am and gives no more than 20 minutes at each of the main attractions, Church of the Assumption of Our Lady and Saint John the Baptist, Sedlec Ossuary the bone church and St. Barbara's Cathedral. Let me repeat that: 20. MINUTES. EACH. For a 7-hour tour! Absurd. Even worse, there is only a brief description of each location before entering, and no additional information is given inside. Luckily, we had the Rick Steves Czechoslovakia book for some information, and we eavesdropped on other tours Sandemans to get context for what we were seeing.

The tour did, however, spend nearly an hour for lunch at a pre-determined restaurant that the tour company is in partnership with and likely gets kickbacks from. So, an hour TOTAL in the places you're looking to see, an hour for lunch, five hours waiting for trains and traveling and limited information with an unenthusiastic and brusk tour guide. No thanks.

That said, the sights are interesting and worth a trip. We only wish we had more time in them and got more information on them. Based on our experience, you'd be much better served taking a bus tour that can operate on its own schedule with a company like Sandemans red umbrella than this Discover Prague yellow umbrella tour. We had a FANTASTIC trip with Sandemans to Terezin, and their guides really seem to be both knowledgeable and enthusiastic about their subject matter.

  • The tour was very good. The guide was sometimes disrespectful to others.

  • We bored this tour and we're very excited about the excursion. We went to the designated location before the arrival time and we were told that the tour was not running that day and that Viator should not have sold it. The woman at the desk in Prague was very nice. However, by that time we learned the tour was not available, it was already 11, and there were no other options.

  • Great trip! Our guide George he said to call him that since pronouncing his real name may be too challenging was funny, informative and made sure we were all enjoying ourselves. Interesting place, a nice getaway from the busy city of Prague.

  • A group of 4 of us really enjoyed this day but we felt at times a bit rushed. We didn't meet our guide until 11am and took a train to Kutna Hora which was an hour away. By the time we had seen the 2 cathedrals and the bone chapel we didn't get lunch until 3pm and that left no time to look around the small town. If we had left at 10am I feel the day would have been so much more less rushed and enjoyable.

  • The Kutna Hora trip is an interesting day using rail transportation. We were not happy with our guide Thomas constantly smoking while on the tour and I think he should stay sober while being responsible for a group of international travellers.
