Took my tour with Manabu. He was extremely patient and generous with his Kyoto facts and knowledge. Highly recommend this tour especially if you can get him as your guide.

Akiko and Miki gave a great and memorable tour! It was filled with a lot of fun and knowledge about Kyoto and its Zen Temples - definitely my favorite tour and the best one yet! Riding a bike in Kyoto is definitely an experience in itself (>_<) This tour is worth every cent and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kyoto!

The bike tour is a good way to view the city and I did enjoy parts of the tour but here are the reasons this deserves a low rating: - The tour guides asked us to write reviews in front of them. They didn’t look at what we wrote at the time but we didn’t know that and I definitely felt pressured to say only positive things. I deleted that previous review for this reason. - The about section for this tour is wrong so I was expecting a bike tour of very different places. The itinerary is correct though, look there. This in some ways was my fault I guess. - There were 2 guides with us but it was only me and someone else which made the ratio kind of odd. - the guides could answer some questions but they weren’t necessarily experts on history or wildlife. Most of the trip was small talk. - They took 80 posed pictures of us (many the same from different angles). Which I just didn’t need. I think this is difference in Japanese and American culture. Just a tip for the tour company’s future training, sometimes it’s nice to suggest taking a picture but I’m capable of asking for one myself. If I don’t once ask for one then that means I don’t need 80. Our guides were very nice people so I do feel bad for leaving this review. Truthfully I think the organization is directly at fault for most of these issues and indirectly at fault for how they were training.

Awesomesauce! I can’t recommend this highly enough. A truly fabulous way to experience the sights, sounds and tastes of Kyoto. Akiko and Kaori were fantastic, professional guides, conversant in English and Mandarin, with obvious insider knowledge. From bike rides to zen gardens, temples to local treats, this morning/afternoon tour has you covered. My tip is to do this early, the day you land in Kyoto. You’ll see both the usual and beautifully unexpected.

Cycling along the Kamo river was simply picturesque! We saw majestic herons and cute mandarins, how wonderful! The Zen temples also brought us city-dwellers much needed calm and peace.

Ken is a very enthusiastic young guide. He speaks well English and is very open. We recommend taking this tour with him!

This was hands down the best experience we had whilst in Kyoto!! Our tour guide Ken was extremely knowledgeable, kind, and friendly 😊 We were truly lucky to have him show us multiple sites in the city and he made us feel at home! We highly recommend this tour to anyone that visits beautiful Kyoto!!

This is a great way to spend your morning. Our guide Taka was very knowledgeable and spoke perfect English. The tour itself is around five hours so you see quite a lot of the city and more so the surrounding area to the Kamo river. Most scenic areas you would probably never see on your own. The public transport system in Kyoto is great however, on a nice day bikes are a perfect way to explore the area and with the frequent stops it provides plenty of opportunities for taking photo's. You also get lunch at a very nice restaurant.
