Absolutely gorgeous ride - the best way to see Albufera! This tour can be booked directly with PassionBike Valencia. If you are not in great shape, or don't want to work too hard and just want to cruise, pay the extra and go for the electric bikes! Andre our guide spoke excellent English, was super knowledgeable, and very friendly. Because you are on a trail (by the way really nice route) the whole group won't be close enough to hear what he is saying so you have to kind of switch back and forth who is riding close to him. The boat tour was ok - the boat driver was very nice (I think we were all just ready for beverages and lunch). The Paella lunch was absolutely amazing. Expect the ride to be a long one and that you might be a bit tired afterwards. This tour is definitely worth the time and the money.

Really enjoyable trip, but had the potential to be exceptional with a few refinements. This is not for the fainthearted or casual rider - it took us until 4:45 (instead of 3:00) to get back to the start despite us being commended for being a fast group. Probably should check fitness levels before heading off as there are no shortcuts back. Bikes were good for the job, though half way through before we realised everyone else were on e-bikes! Really nice route on mainly paved roads - no hills which was a plus! A bit more commentary along the way would have helped - Andre knew his stuff when prompted 1-2-1 but would have been nice to stop occasionally for us all to hear it. As for the paella, absolutely gorgeous and plenty for everyone! All in all a good trip that could be brilliant with a few improvements - still would recommend as a lovely way to see beyond the city. what can I say, fun, fun, and more fun. 20th April 10am bike tour with Luke, biking to the beach, lakes and having Paella in the home of Paelle. A 5hr tour!!! hmmmmm well we got back to the bike shop at 5:45pm!! so we had our monies worth. We were in a large group of 20 (mainly OAP's) with use four in out 40's being the youngest! Please note, the biking is all on the flat, arpart from going up the slopes of the bridges. Once we started, the only stopping you do is to see the sights on the way where Luke expalined things to us (all in English). We kept going till we stopped at a fabulous resturant in el Palmar for a real paella. I can't recommend this resturant enough, it's not some two bit cafe.. it's a proper posh resturant. We had Beer & wine (that was an extra few euros per head, but cheap for what we had) a starter, main and dessert.. plenty to eat!! Then we went on teh boat trip.. lasts about 45mins. Lovely on the lake, peacful and great way to rest your legs. Once back on dry land.. it's the ride back... the way we came!! Great fun, loved it... suffered with saddle sores for the following few days as I'm not used to biking.. let along being in the saddle all those hours.# Big shout out to Luke the tour guide. He was great. I think the big group was a bit to big to try and keep together. (a guy from the bike shop also come with you to keep up the rear and as bike maintanance). It's a steady day biking, not a slow bike ride... also it's mainly on cycle tracks but it does go on some roads. Not sure I'd recommend it with kids, having to go on the roads. Bikes have planty of gears and are easy and have an easy ride possition... some with baskets on the front Well worth the money, highly recommend it. A great way to see Valencia.
