There are 3 museum floors beneath the Buddha statue: The Hall of Universe, The Hall of Benevolent Merit, and The Hall of Remembrance. See one of the most renowned features inside, a relic of Sakyamuni, consisting of some of his alleged cremated remains. Next, visit Po Lin Monastery, which is known as the "Buddhist Kingdom in the South". Po Lin Monastery is the most popular Buddhist temple in Hong Kong. The world's largest outdoor Buddha at the Po Lin Monastery becomes a site of Pilgrimage and is visited by Buddhists' from all over the world.

Enjoy a Chinese Vegetarian lunch at the monastery which is a culture heritage from ancient China. Po Lin Monastery is famous for providing high quality Buddhist vegetarian cuisine in Hong Kong. Nowadays, the chefs can prepare the vegetarian food with a taste similar to typical Chinese cuisine. After lunch, take coach to Tai O fishing village, once the largest inhabited settlement on Lantau Island. The village's stilt houses on the waterfont, offer a glimpse into Hong Kong's past and provide a striking contrast with the modern city. • Must to do tours. Very well organized, we never waited more than 5 min for anything..Totally worth the money.

  • I would like to make a complaint about this trip. Please contact me so I know how to email you.

  • Get the crystal cabin for the tram ride. Really worth it! It was a long but very good tour.

  • I think the trip was seriously overpriced at 133 USD!! I bought the trip to join some friends who say they paid about 1/2 that price for their tour. I'm not sure how or why. was a decent trip, but for only 2 stops, no cable-car ride because it was out of service, and a mass-produced vegetarian meal, it seemed like way too much for what you get. I ended up walking to my hotel after the boat ride back because a didn't think spending an hour dropping off everyone else on the tour first was worth my time! I would suggest looking into doing the trip yourself and then at least having time to enjoy the stops at your own leisure rather than the set times on a large-group guided tour.

  • This tour made seeing all the highlights of Lantau Island so easy! It was a long day-- more than the 7 hours written in the description. I was picked up at my hotel at 9:20am and brought back around 5:30. We visited Tai-O fishing village, a highlight, and took a boat ride through the beautiful village of houses on stilts over the water. We visited the Po Lin monestary, ate the amazing lunch and visited the giant buddha! The cable car was closed for repairs during our visit, so we were bussed to Lantau and we took the high speed ferry back to Hong Kong Island at the end of the tour. At each of the stops, we had some free time to take pictures, shop, get a snack, etc. Our guide, Pandora, was friendly and knowledgable and didn't talk too much either. I had worried that the cost of this tour wasn't worth it, but now I know it was. There's no way I could have arranged to do so much in one day on my own.

  • A long journey and the cable car was not working. Having said that the pick up was good and the tour guide explained a great deal on the way. The lunch at the monastery restaurant was the real highlight of the day It was a superb vegetarian meal I am not a vegetarian but I just loved this meal. The Buddha is stunning and there are some lovely walks along paths near it Some great views of the entrance to Hong Kong harbour. The only problem we had was that the bus trip back to our hotel from central pier took one and a half hours. We could have walked it in 45 minutes

  • Great tour with a great guide.

  • A very good tour for the money. The cable car ride was the best. The views amazing. Dinner at the monastery was soooo good. Highly recommend this tour Boat ride and all.

  • Unlike most Viator tours I have booked for group of friends, this one was a total disappointment and we aborted the trip half way through. The guide Fion, was unprofessional, lacked enthusiasm and mostly importantly didn't have sufficient knowledge of the English language and couldn't communicate with our group. I would not recommend this trip.

  • Tour guide did not give much information about anything. all he did was tell us if we were not back on time to get an ordinary bus home. !! Jewellery factory a waste of time and viewing the clock tower as well.
