Stop At: Museo larco, Lima, Lima Region
After pickup from your hotel in an air-conditioned vehicle, start your tour at the Larco Museum, where youll learn about the inhabitants of ancient Peru with your knowledgeable guide.
Housed in an 18th-century colonial mansion built on top of a 7th-century pyramid, the museum will open your eyes to the lives of pre-Columbian people through its vast collection of artifacts. See its 50,000-plus pots, as well as ceramics and jewelry, and hear about the displays as you tour the museum galleries with your guide.
Next, head to a local tavern, where youll take a break with a delicious Peruvian snack, accompanied by a pisco sour, a Peruvian drink typically made with pisco (grape brandy), lime juice, bitters and an egg white. Toast to your tour, and then head to your next stop the Magic water circuit.
One of the largest water shows in South America, the Magic water circuit is an extravaganza of water displays, light, lasers, images and music that must be seen to be believed. It takes place across a complex of several large fountains that shoot water into the air, impressing spectators of all ages.
After your tour, you'll be returned to your Lima hotel.

I was the only one on this tour, so I really felt like I got my money's worth! A personal and private tour of the Larco Museum was amazing. Suzanne was able to summarize and point things out that I would've missed if I had just visited on my own. She provided context and background that was missing from the museum's posted info. I also enjoyed the Taven and my first Pisco Sour. She was also great at providing other recommendations for things to do and places to eat while I was in Lima. Thanks, Suzanne!

I had heard that the Larco Museum and the Magic water circuit were two things I should see in Lima. This tour was a perfect way to see them both. The tour even included a stop for a Pisco sour and a traditional sandwich at one of the oldest bars in Lima.

The museum was the real highlight of this tour. The water fountains were pleasant but would have traded them in for more time at the museum. Guide was informative, tour well organised. Enjoyed the visit to the tavern.

Great private collections of pre-Peruvian artifacts from 3000 years ago. Must see with beautiful garden and surroundings. Tour guide, Victor, was very informative and knowledgeable. We had a nice pork sandwich with pisco sour. Nice water light show with history of Peru.
