Know More about this tour

Drive along the Mississippi River to reach your destination in the swamps.
This tour is a combination of both a swamp tour and an airboat ride. Your tour guide will stop on your journey to allow for photos and alligator encounters! This airboat is a larger capacity vessel with the ability to seat up to 16 passengers. This is perfect for larger groups. The seating on your airboat is stadium style seating, so anyone seated in front of you will not be obstructing your view. Each airboat tour is unique and unscripted, you never know what's going to be waiting for your group behind the next turn. Airboats are driven by a 454 Chevy Engine, bringing speeds of your boat up to 25 miles an hour. Airboats are propelled by a large fan that blow air behind the vessel. On this tour, you will reach places and visit areas which normal boats and vehicles are unable to access.

We had a great time!! This was very informative too and our guide was great! We seen alligators also on this tour. Would definitely recommend.

This tour was great! I loved the the majority of it was simply boating through the swaps and taking it all in. When we did stop, our tour guide Captain Ernie was very knowledgeable. He was prepared, but not rehearsed and robotic. He enlightened passengers to his research and experience, as well as factual information about wetland preservation and alligator myths vs truths. We saw multiple alligators, along with other wildlife. It was hot but great!

Brad was a great tour guide! Brad was funny and informative! My husband and I sat in the front room and thoroughly engaged every minute of the airboat swamp tour. The history of the ownership of the swamp, alligator population and the foliage in the swamp made the tour more historically significant. I highly recommend it and would do it again during my next visit to New Orleans.

Capt Ernie was a great guide. Very informative. Went where larger boats could not go. Was able to touch and hold baby gator.

Captain Matt was probably the coolest guide I’ve ever had! Of all the vacations I’ve gone on, I really think this might have been the best vacation experience I’ve ever had. He was fun, informative, and humorous. He’s friends with the alligators and pulled one out of the water to pet it. He showed us a video of him swimming with them too! But then! He revealed his emotional support baby alligator, Ripple! He was the cutest thing and Captain Matt instructed us on how to hold and pet Ripple without upsetting him! He was the cutest thing ever! We saw so many other birds, dragonflies, and even a raccoon as well. The wind kept us cool while we got to observe animals happily living in their NATURAL HABITAT instead of a zoo or cage. There’s a real difference when viewing animals the proper way like that. I really can’t recommend this place enough! If you do one thing when visiting New Orleans then make sure it’s this!

Captain Ernie gave the best tour on the large airboat. He was very knowledgeable about the area and the environment, giving us lots of historical information. He was also very concerned about the preservation of the gator population and pointed out the differences between real life and some TV shows. We saw several alligators and made lots of great pictures.
