  • We were picked up at the dock by our taxi bus driver. There was a little confusion as to where we should be as no signage or coloured hats/flags were offered. We were driven to the mud pools by a fairly uncommunicative driver with one other couple from the ship.Api our young guide at the pools was lovely and the mud bath was a lot of fun and left our skin soft. We each indulged in a good 30 minute massage 30aud before heading into the village for our lunch. The home we went to and our hostess seemed dirty and untidy. We sat on a tarp on the concrete verandah outside. We had 2 kava ceremonies, one with the hostess and another immediately after with the host as 4 more guests arrived. The food was nice but unprotected from the many flies. I felt like I might get sick from the lack of hygiene. I would suggest going early to the mud and pools to miss the crowd and then choose another village!

  • it was ok and a little bit rushed
