Overview
Learn to surf at Noosa on the Sunshine Coast, one of Australia's most iconic surf destinations. With its warm waters and safe beaches, the conditions at Noosa are ideal for beginners. You'll learn to surf in waist deep water with fully qualified surf instructors who are also surf life savers. Soft beginner surf board and rash vests or wetsuit are included.Itinerary:
We meet at our trailer in the car park at Beach Access No 11 in Claude Batten Drive at Noosa Heads 15 minutes before the lesson begins. We provide a long sleeved rash/sun shirt (or wetsuit in winter) and select the correct size soft beginner surf board and then walk to the beach. We begin with a safety talk and some basic instruction on the beach and then catch our first few waves in waist deep water. We then return to the beach for more detailed instruction about how to stand up. We then spend the rest of the lesson in the water with the instructor assisting everyone to stand up.

I booked a babysitter so my husband and I could hit up a childfree surf lesson together. We both had an unreal time, caught heaps of waves, and thoroughly enjoyed being out there in the water. Mariot let us know all the ins and outs, was a great instructor and I recommend you try it for yourself 😀

Georgie was an amazing and motivated coach. She was really good with my 8 year old child who can't sit on the beach and listen for long periods of time (like most 8 year olds)! All the coaches were great with children, really positive and kind. Highly recommended!

The instructors were friendly and helpful but the average review is because there were no waves to be surfed. I feel the company should inform customers at the time of booking that there will be little to no waves to be surfed as the instructors mentioned that they tend to know forecasts up to three weeks in advance. Total beginners may not be aware or surf forecasts etc. That being said, it appeared that all companies in the area were still giving lessons with no surf so perhaps it is just the practice to ensure they don’t lose out on the income. Check the forecast - if the waves are forecast less than 1-2ft, leave it till another day.

I have never surfed before and this was the best experience I could have imagined for my first time! Hannah was a fantastic instructor and so incredibly patient with helping me the entire lesson. The two hour lesson was perfect for a beginner and it was nice having a smaller group to get to know each other and have enough 1:1 time with the instructor. I can't recommend this course and instructor enough!

Really enjoyed our day in Noosa surfing. Had so much fun, and the instructor were so funny and good at what she did. She were able to explain and instruct us, so it was easy for us to understand. She helped us catch the waves so we had the best chance to try and stand up on the boards. Everyone managed to stand on the surfboard at the end of the lesson. Will definitely recommend trying this!

The lesson as a whole was awesome. We had a fun morning with a small group size of 7 with two instructors. The instructors were helpful at teaching both myself (no surf experience) and my partner (experienced) some new tips and ensured we both had a great time. We were both up on waves and had a laugh. We weren’t ever cold in the water, which we may have expected in May.

Had a great morning learning to surf with Scott and Idra. They were both incredibly helpful and managed to get us all stood up and riding some waves! Would fully recommend everyone to give it a go if you’re in Noosa as it was a lot of fun and the location is perfect for those that have never surfed before!

I am a complete beginner and they got me standing up (albeit not for long) 3-4 times. Really lovely instructors. Had a lot of fun.
