Great info about the area. We are glad we did it to get a lay of the land. We would do it again. We appreciated the easiness of the the process.

We, like others, received no instructions or had been given any way of accessing this self-guided tour. Since we couldn't access this service we are contesting the charges to our credit account.

Very unhelpful. Even though it’s self guided I wasn’t able to book for day we wanted. Why? Lerwick is not overrun with self guiding tourists with ear phones packing out the streets of old town. Shetland is beautiful but completely not able to cater for minimal number of tourists. Please get your act together

This was the worst experience of our trip so far!! We were told to neet the person at a specified time so that he/she can scan our ticket’s barcode we were NOT TOLD that this is a download we were to do and that no one would meet us and that it could be started at any time we wished and WORST OF ALL - we NEVER received the selfload download to even fake the self-guided tour. We will demand out money refund but, more importantly, you need to know the above in the event you still want this self-guided walking tour from Viator. IT IS NONEXISTENT!

Last minute purchase. Many downloads but this might be typical for audio tour. Would have appreciated how many miles tour was. Map included was not helpful and we were not on Wi-Fi once we left cruise ship. Needs updated as some stops were not open

Arrived by ferry on a Sunday morning for a 1 day visit. Lerwick is very quiet on Sundays. This audio guide was an excellent orientation to the local history and provides a reasonable 1 day walking tour. We changed the order to start with the ruins end with the museum, due to opening times. It seemed expensive, but there's really very little info online about these places. Well worth the investment.

This audio tour is an mp3 program slated for about 3 hours. It comes with a map to guide your discovery of this lovely island town. It takes you through the historic parts of central Lerwick, describes some of the old streets of this fishing village, and enriches the narration with historical details going back about five millennia. The highlights include Clickimin Brock, Lerwick Town Hall, the old tollbooth and market Cross. This will be the best 20 pounds you've ever spent.
