This was a great tour if you want to see and learn about Peruvian cuisine and culture. We began at a local fresh fish market where we had a typical Peruvian breakfast of a fish sandwich. We then went to a local food market where we were able to pick fruits. After picking the fruits we went to a restaurant, the fruits were presented on platters for all in the group to try. We also had some more hearty dishes. After we went to the Barranca neighborhood to walk amongst murals and finished with some artesanal ice cream. Our tour Leonardo was extremely knowledgeable, answered all our questions, was very lively and entertaining. I 100% recommend this tour and suggest you not eat prior so you may enjoy everything presented.

If you are interested in the culture and authentic foods of Peru, this is a wonderful way of being introduced to the unique flavours and sites of daily Lima. Our English speaking guides Edwin and Leonardo walked us through a local market and introduced us to local street food vendors. We eventually tasted our way up onto a roof top restaurant for a further immersion into the unique fruits and traditional foods of Peru. A quick Tuk-Tuk ride was included to our next destination the Barranco region that featured interesting street art. Our guides were knowledgeable, personable, friendly and very approachable.

Aura met us at the hotel, it was just the two of us with her for the tour. We thoroughly enjoyed all aspects, from the fish market to the meat and vegetable stands, to the wonderful art in Barranco. Aura was very knowledgeable, never left us wondering what was happening or what was next, and answered all our questions with very, very good English! Highly recommend for foodies who enjoy art and history.
