  • The Best tour ever we had in ireland

  • If you are freaked out about driving on the other side of the road like we were this is a great way to see some of the major sites on Western Ireland from Dublin. Not having to worry about transportation or tickets was a welcome change, and our tour guide Peter was personable, informative and funny. We had enough time to explore at each stop and were surprised to not be the only 30 somethings on the tour. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone saying in Dublin that would like to see the other side of the country.

  • This was on my bucket list. It was amazing. Loved the rail ride, too. You have plenty of time to explore.

  • The tour itself was fantastic. We loved the train ride and thoroughly enjoyed each place we visited. The only reason I am giving this tour 4 stars is the Tour Guide was very vocal about his political views. He needed to keep the soap box at home

  • This trip was fabulous. Our guide Brendan was the best. He was very knowledgeable about the entire tour and was a great story teller. The sights were magical and my teenage son and I had the best experience. The train ride took about an hour longer than it was supposed to on the way home, so we got back to our hotel after 10:00 PM, which made for a very long day. Overall, one of the best experiences ever.

  • Loved this excursion. From the leisurely train ride to Galway, I especially appreciated having wifi on the train. I loved driving along the countryside, the castle, seeing the cliffs, and the burren. Be aware that it is a very long day so plan accordingly.

  • Excellent, well-planned. Peter was a phenomenal guide, very informative and his remarks always seemed fresh and unrehearsed even though hes probably made them 50 times or more.

  • We loved this tour!! Going from train to bus and back again was easy. Our guide and driver were wonderful! Cliffs of darn beautiful. So happy we took this tour and we want to go back and see more of the towns and the area!

  • Loved the view and all the history.

  • This is a fantastic tour that is well co-ordinated with so much to offer. From the moment we arrived at the train station in Dublin we felt we were taken care of by our tour co-ordinator. With such an early start we had breakfast on the train which was arranged for us by the tour co-ordinator once we boarded and had found our reserved carriage and tables. A bus awaited us in Limerick that took us to Bunratty Castle where we spent a couple of hours exploring the castle and folk park before continuing on the way towards Galway via the Cliffs of Moher. It's a long drive but the cliffs, the fascinating landscape of the Burren and the stunningly beautiful coastline that the road follows makes it worthwhile.

Tip 1: Go to O'Connor's for lunch when you get to Doolin. You don't have to, but it is well worth the money and the fastest good service I have ever seen in that kind of restaurant. Would def. go back there again!

Tip 2: Wear good shoes because there is a lot of walking around to do at both Bunratty Castle/Folk Park, and the Cliffs of Moher.

Tip 3: The bus gets to Galway in time for rush hour especially the tour co-ordinator has a problem herding everyone back onto the bus after the quick photo stop at the Burren which means there is very little time to do much more than buy some snacks and drinks for the train ride back to Dublin where there is no buffet car or trolley.

This was a fantastic day out that was well organised and took in so much history and natural beauty of Ireland. Would certainly use this operator again for another trip.
