We had such a fantastic time visiting Lisbon. Not sure what the complaints was about in previous reviews about being left to do your own thing for 3 hours. It was a good opportunity to explore Lisbon on our own. Took some lovely pictures and enjoyed the sights. Thank you to our lovely lady guide. I won't hesitate to book this company again.

This was a really good tour. We got picked up right on time at the local hotel early morning. After the next pick up we were on our way to Lisbon on a modern coach with approx 40 other passengers. It took about 3 hours plus a 30 minute breakfast stop then we arrived in Lisbon mid-morning. Our local tour guide (Ana) spoke perfect English and German which were the main nationalities in our tour. After crossing the famous 25 de Abril bridge our first stop was the Mosteiro dos Jeronimos (Monastery), Jardim da Praca do Imperio (Gardens) and Padrao dos Descobrimintos (Maritime Monument), in the Belem district. This was a short stop just to see the main sights and take some photo's before we left to the main stop. Coach tours are only allowed 1 hour here to help control numbers though we still had enough time to see the sights and stretch our legs. We then set off to Rossio Square where we had over 3 hours to explore alone with some tips of the best places to go. We took a stroll down R. Augusta and through the Arco da Rua Augusta (Arch) to the waterfront. Then on the way back we visited a shops and explored the markets in Praca do Rossio then took the Funicular to Miradouro de Sao Pedro de Alcantara (viewing point) to see the Lisbon skyline and Castelo de S. Jorge. Popped into the Hard Rock Cafe before pickup mid-afternoon. Crossed the Ponte Vasco da Gama bridge on the way back for some final views of the city. Stopped off again for a coffee on return to Albufeira and arrived back around 7pm. Would consider visiting Lisbon again in future as would need a few days to really see the city, though for one day we still crammed a lot in. The city has many pretty buildings and is lively, though felt safe as a tourist.

Cramped coach bus journey. No on board toilet facilities. Rosa our guide was very knowledgeable. Lisbon - The Monastery and surrounding area looked spectacular - 1 hour -insufficient time to view. City centre - 3 hours too long. Would have preferred 2 hours at each.

Lisbon is lovely but the journey was awful. We left our hotel at 5:40am and got home at 7:40pm. 14 hours in total.. only 3 hours of this trip were in Lisbon. The bus seats were tiny, I am 6 foot and my legs were jammed up against the seat in front And there was no toilet. It said there would be no more than 49 people on the trip but the 60 seat coach was full. The tour guide was nice.

Incidentally the same guide as our Seville trip, only visit a couple of places and left to the city centre for free shopping, a day out shopping trip.

Loved the ride to Lisbon and the chance to see so much of the countryside. It was a great way to see a bit of the city…makes you want to see more. Great tour guide. She was very knowledgeable and friendly.
